Tougher Than TomReviews of tougherthantom.com

Does not work. I have been using for 60 days with zero reduction in mosquitoes. The only thing these have managed to do is ruin the finish on my patio table when the wind blew & spilled some of it, attract squirrels who have painted my deck with it, and catch bees and other bycatch insects. I wasn't even going to review, but being as I got 4 mosquito bites in under a minute yesterday sitting less than 6 feet away from the thing, I'm fed up & disappointed and decided to leave my thoughts. I bought enough for a whole summer. :( Don't waste your money.

Tom answered my question and stated he would submit to the writers my suggestion that it's one whole pack per jar which to me at least is unclear in the directions on the box. AND Tom wished me a Happy 4th of July!!! Tom's awsome!

We were hopeful that setting up the four little jars of Tougher Than Tom's bait juice was going to make our yard mosquito free! Unfortunately, they didn't work at all. The proof is in the jars. We just took them down and each one of them is filled with flies, mostly, along with probably a few other gnats and other bugs. But no mosquitoes. What's worse is that with all the dead, decaying fly carcasses collected, it attracted live flights to come in and feed on the others. And then, to top it all off, I saw white larvae in the mix, which means these little jars attracted flies to come and lay their eggs in there. It's disgusting. And the fact that it's disgusting isn't why I'm rating this so low - if it were full of mosquitos, it would probably be somewhat disgusting as well and I wouldn't mind that. But, I did not expect it to be full of flies. Ugh. Their website lists hassle free refunds and 100% guaranteed. Then again, their refund policy requires you to ask for a refund within 30 days, even though in order for the full effect of the product to take place, it's supposed to last for 30 days. And they require you to ship back the product at your own cost. That doesn't sound like a 100% guarantee. Just words. I'm hoping to get a refund from the company, but from other reviews I've read, this will probably prove to be difficult. Seeing how terribly this product performed leads me to believe the company knows it does not work and continues to take people's money. That's not cool.

I just need to say a HUGE thank you for this product. I’ve always been a walking mosquito magnet, and after rebuilding my deck with a roof, I realized the only thing standing between me and actually enjoying it was the swarm of mosquitos waiting for me every evening. The “mosquito‑repelling plants” were a total fail. Then I saw TNT in my Facebook feed, did my homework, and decided to try it. WOW. Immediate difference. I now have one in the front and three in the backyard, and I’ve already shared the link with my neighbors so we can all protect the neighborhood together. I also constantly worry about mosquitos biting my dogs and spreading disease — this has taken so much of that stress away. Thank you for creating something that actually works.

Little post Oder communication until I inquired. Once I did, the response was timely and helpful.

We put out the Tougher Than Tom mosquito traps on June 26, 2026 and today, July 2, 2026 I was able to walk, water, and work in the backyard WITHOUT A SINGLE MOSQUITO BITE!!! We live in Fort Worth, TX and have a very large, xeriscaped backyard with two water features and the Texas mosquitos love it, too. NOT ANYMORE! Tougher Than Tom gave us back our small slice of paradise! Thank you! Sincerely and customer for life, Terry

Very prompt to answer to my concerns

I placed 4 of the traps out. Over a 2 week time span only 1 had 1 single mosquito. Mostly flies and bees. Then when I asked for a refund and send back my unused product they expect me to pay the shipping cost. Thats not 100% money back guarantee in my opinion. Don't waste you money folks.
