Verizon keeping total wireless chained up their dungeon
I'm updating my review. I suggest just getting the standard plans and leave off the bells and whistles and upgrades. I had a hell of a time when we upgraded to 20g of Hotspot on 3 lines, which took it to a different type of plan, and I really don't think they had all their craps together yet with the recent acquisition from total wireless to total by Verizon. Trying to talk to customer service agents, who I think were all new hires and I don't think even had access to any proper information, was like a drill to the head. Repeatedly calling in for hours and hours for 3 weeks just to repeat the next month, literally days after having finally resolved the issues, only because we happened to get that one lucky rep who had actually worked their job before and could just fix the problem. The constant ridiculous mistakes rose past tragic comedy level. And trying to switch out to a different company was just as ridiculous. Transfer codes from total by Verizon didn't work etc. But there aren't a lot of choices in my area so I was forced to go back. We went back to the standard 3 line plan and it has worked fine since. I recently switched to a new carrier because I'll be moving shortly, otherwise I wouldn't since the original issues were fixed by simply downgrading. In the future as things get sorted out from the acquisition and different types of plans I'm sure they'll be much better able to take care of things in a smoother fashion.
