I have been with T Mobile for over 15 years and until this year I have never had a problem with them. I had two incidents in the past 6 months and the customer service was terrible. In the first situation I wanted phones that I had paid for unlocked. I have a problem with T-Mobile not automatically unlocking your phone once you pay off the phones. When I called they told me to wait 72 hours and I would get an email that would explain how to unlock the phone. After a week, I still had not received the email. I called again and was told I had to wait another 72 hours. This would have been a problem if I was going to go to another phone company. My second situation was I had two phones with 2 separate phone lines, yet somehow they were connected and the phone calls and texts would show up on both phones. I talked to at least 6 different agents, after trouble shooting for over an hour, none of them could fix the problem. One told me it was because of the Apple ID yet I verified with Apple that this was not the problem. Two of them stated that they would called me back and they never did. Two of them I could not even understand what they were saying. To top this off, I would have to wait as long as an hour before I could get someone on the phone. I have brought over 15 phones from T mobile, and I have never been late for a payment. I believe the service should be better. Most of the sales reps are superficially nice, yet I knowledgeable. 3 of the reps I had were absolutely rude. I would cancel my service but I am going to wait until I pay off my two new phones first. I use to brag about the customer service from T mobile but now I am disappointed. They need to hire more people and hire more people would knowledge.

Their coverage map is not entirely correct. I was supposed to have great coverage at my home so I switched. My data was very slow and the signal was weak.tmobile customer support just said they didn't have many towers in my area and they couldn't help me. I miss my fast verizon service.

I have used prepaid service through T-mobile for several years and I have had concerns about some of their policies. For example, a few years ago after making a political donation I was bombarded with request for donations. I had to keep my phone turned off much of the time, then the text messages started. I did not have any way of stopping the texts, as soon as I turned my phone on messages came through. The bogus text messages and voicemails were using up all of the money I had loaded on to my phone. I asked T-mobile to disable my text message service after I explained what was happening. They said they do not disable text messaging on prepaid phone service. I used this phone as a second phone for work so I let the money run out. I stopped using it for a few months and later on just put a few dollars on and turned it on when I was on call. However, it would have been very helpful if T-Mobile had provided assistance. I have had a few problems since that time trying to communicate with their customer service experts. They frequently fail to understand very simple problems. I felt that overall the problems were not that great and on some occasions their customer service experts were helpful. I switched to a prepaid text , voice and data plan about 8 months ago and I have noticed a problem for awhile. Sunday 11/22/20 about 2 pm I tried calling 611 to discuss the problem I had to wait for a call back and when I spoke to the agent she did not understand the problem. She soon started saying I can"t hear you there is too much static in your phone then she hung up. I have not had any problems with my phone and I was sitting by my patio door where I get excellent service. I have a second phone and I tested the service after she hung up. Also, she had checked the phone number in case a call back was needed. She did not call back! I had to go through the entire process again and wait for a call back. There was no static reported on the phone and the agents communication skills were better. I told the agent about the previous dropped call. About 1 1/2 hours later the first agent that had dropped the call called back to see if she had answered all of my concerns, again pretending there was static on the line. If there really had been static on the line and she wanted to help she would have called back immediately after hanging up. I no longer trust T-Mobile as a business. I will no longer store funds in my account, I am considering looking for other service and I think that it is highly unlikely that I would buy a phone from them or consider any type of contract. This latest rude and inappropriate behavior was not a major event but it was at the forefront of a long line of small and sometimes not so small problems. Sometimes a business may have to disagree or be unable to help with a customer's request and that is not unexpected. However, how can a business help you when they don't hear you. No confidence vote for T-Mobile.

Don't believe the pink maps. We bought a brand new top-of-the-line Samsung phone. We had poor data and voice calls all over the Emerald Coast, including in the city of Destin. My wife is a real estate agent and suffered from poor call quality and dropped calls. She would often not be able to map a home or open a lockbox due to poor data quality even in areas that were supposedly well covered. Tmobile customer service is awful and a waste of time. At one point, they said the problem was a hurricane that damaged their towers (two years ago?). We finally decided to break our contract before the 2 years, because it was negatively affecting my wife's business in a major way. I'm not sure how they get away with this, but we were signed up for paperless billing and autopay. They actually LOCK you out of your account so that you cannot validate what they are billing you after you cancel. I paid off our phones giving up rebates and was billed a large sum for our remaining service. Two months later, we were charged again. Again, I have no way to authenticate the final charges, the ones two months ago or the shady one now. I was told I could go to a T-mobile store and ask them to print it off. They won't email or mail it to me because my account is closed. Just what I want to do with my day. Unbelievable. Be sure to turn off paperless and cancel your autopay before you leave T-mobile.

There free trial hotspot sucks. You get only 30GB or 30 days to try out. The T-Mobile network is very slow some days.

I hate this company. Been with them for years and have consistently got worse. They will steal money from you and when you catch on to it they will only refund you 3 months worth because of “company policy”. You do not get a team of experts you get a team of liers. Called to cancel sync up drive more than a year ago because you can’t do it through their app because it’s flawed. Half a year later i called again to have them cancel it since the first guy didn’t. Half a year more and they still haven’t. But they won’t forget to charge you $30 every month for it. I had 4 lines and called to cancel a line, they have a stupid promo BOGO but instead of canceling the line i don’t use or need they move that line to be free so they can keep charging my other two lines. I called to tell them how stupid this was and to move my other devices to be on the free line and the girl refused saying it’s better option to keep it there since it’s free. WTH I’m paying for the other two lines whats free about a line i dont use. Now I’m leaving them and called them to give me my account number since they hide it from their users on their app. The guy asked me if i was leaving them and after i said yes he became aggressive and locked my phone. I called them to unlock it since its mines i payed in full and they lied and said they did but had me wait 72 hours and i find out they still have not unlocked it. Ive been waiting 72 on two separate times.
