My dog is a very finicky eater and was having severe digestive issues. I tried all sorts of dog food from grocery store food, to pet store food, to food recommended by my vet and nothing helped. I found my solution at Farmers Dog. My dog loves her food and has no more digestive problems. So happy I finally tried.

My 12 year old yorkie poo started to struggle with bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. She always had mild digestive issues but it had suddenly become severe. Vets couldn’t figure out what was wrong. They thought it could be pancreatitis but we tried every low fat dog food under the sun, including prescription and all different ingredients to identify possible allergies, yet she continued to get sick and lose weight. She was wasting away with episodes of lethargy to the point that I thought she may only have weeks to live. I stumbled across Farmers Dog online and figured I may as well try it as a last ditch effort. She kept it down and began to gain her strength back. I kid you not, she has been aging in reverse ever since. It has been 8 months and she is now the perfect weight and the vet said all her labs are perfect as well. She’s running, jumping off furniture, and acting like a puppy again. I swear even some of her gray fur has turned back to black. And she’s almost 13! This is proof that food is medicine and we are what we eat. I may need to eat this food myself. I am grateful for the additional years with our precious pup that Farmer’s Dog has given us. We tell our story to every dog owner we know that will listen. Several of our friends are customers now too.

We decided our dogs deserve the best food available for their well-being. Researched, read reviews, talked to our vet and tried Farmer's. Our dogs LOVE it! Everything about this company has been stellar. Wish I would have tried this food sooner. 👍

The Farmer’s Dog is expensive, but both my dogs have done very well on it. One of my dogs has severe allergies, and since we’ve switched to TFD his skin looks better than it has in more than five years. I have only a few caveats - first, it’s extremely difficult to make even small changes. The customer service folks do their best, but they are obviously fighting really rigid software. If you have any problems, make sure you ask for a supervisor. Secondly, my dogs need a fair amount of fiber, and they will eat grass if they don’t get enough. For the price of this food, my pups shouldn’t need any further supplementation, but I’m finding that I need to add some veggies to their bowls every few days. Lastly, it’s a bit of a pain to remove the food from the packaging. Again, for the price, it would be nice to have single serve packets. But the bottom line is that this is a superior product.

Decided to give them a try (with their trial) after reading some reviews. I got the first order no problem, though it was a lot of food. They recommend transitioning to their food, which I was trying to do. Less than 2 weeks later, I'm inundated with twice as much as the first order. There is no where to put it all... Seems like they rope you in with the trial, then bury you with the next order. I would not recommend. Reading the reviews here, other have had the same problem.

I am not writing just to thank you for the incredible food I was able to give Ricky for the past year. Unfortunatly, I had to inform you that Ricky had an oral Tumor and I had to put him to sleep and therefor cancel my subscription. I expected a simple resonce. What I recieved instead was a a long detaied handwritten card expressing your sympathies. I then received a beautiful plant to keep in memory of Ricky. I was shocked!!!! Everyone who comes to my house comments on how pretty it. More than that, it shows how much your company cares which applies to everything you do. You are an outstanding company with incredible ethics. Thank you so much!!! Michelle W.

I found out about Farmer’s Dog through my daughter and son in law. I saw the change in their 10 year old lab mix’s coat that was incredible! No longer dry but silky. I decided that my little puppy I just adopted (March 2023) deserved the best I could give him. He eats just the Turkey mix and I love to see him get so excited when he hears me open up the fridge to get his food out. I do heat it up a bit to get the chill out of it!!

I wanted to love this company, but it's been awful with customer service. The trial was great. I felt that the packaging and amounts in the package were great. However, when the trial was over, I noticed a lot of water in the packaging. My dog was hungrier during the day. Additionally, the shipping is horrible. They claim to be "preparing" the food, however, when I called the other day, the woman over the phone told me that they're waiting on the carrier to come to pick up the food. When I followed up again, up they were telling me that the food was still being prepared. Now being within the window of being delivered. Mind you, when I had issues with this a month ago, they told me it takes two days in transit once it ships. I suspect that the 17-20th window will be late, as today is Friday. Additionally, they'll charge your card and not ship in a timely manner. So you'll always run out of food. Customer service is of no help, and stop responding. I'm switching to a different brand.
