Hi Rick—thank you so much for providing your honest feedback here, and we're so sorry to hear that your experience fell short of expectations. We also wanted to mention that we operate as a subscription service; the pricing of our plans can vary based on a variety of factors such as pet details, recipes selected, the amount of food in each order, and more.  With this, we apologize for any confusion surrounding the size of your trial order. Hopefully it's helpful to know that we send our trial orders along with a smaller second box, both of which are designed to give you enough days of food to transition your pup gradually onto our fresh recipes.  Additionally, since we don't use any preservatives or additives in our fresh recipes to keep the color consistent, the veggies in our food can sometimes cause a slight color variation. Also, since we cook in small batches and use whole, fresh ingredients, it's completely normal for there to be some variance in moisture, quantity, and sizes of ingredients from batch to batch. We can assure you that the food pictured on our website is the same food we provide for your dog. Rest assured, our recipes are formulated by our on-staff board-certified nutritionists to meet AAFCO complete and balanced requirements.
