The Farmer's dog has been a life saver for my dog. Since he was 3 months old, Astro suffered from severe diarrhea. He had his regular vet plus a GI doctor. He was diagnosed with IBD. We cycled through numerous novel proteins trying to find something that agreed with him. We never could clear up the diarrhea. We began to suspect it was something with kibble, perhaps the preservatives, perhaps the way it is processed. Astro was a 1 on the body score. He couldn't eat any kibble food for whatever reason his body just rejected it. He was so thin and boney with barely any fur. As a last resort we tried something different, The Farmers Dog. We immediately saw a difference. He now is a healthy dog at a healthy weight with "Fabio Hair" and a perfect body score. Overall, he probably gained 10 plus well needed pounds. I am so happy with your product. He is off his steroids (that helped manage is gastrointestinal inflammation with all the diarrhea) since starting Farmers Dog. Thank you again. You honestly saved his life.

Farmer's dog is being sued in a class action lawsuit for misrepresentation, it took our 12 pound Dog and made him 19 pounds in less than nine months because of how they rate their fat and calorie consumption is completely a fraud. We're having a hard time with special food from the vet to get him to lose weight. I would recommend that everybody that has farmer's dog now to cancel and I recommend nobody to get on it. Because your dog will just gain weight. I would recommend going on the internet and reading the class action suit against farmers. Dog for misrepresentation and damaging dog's health.

Thank you so much for reaching out about your experience, Bill. We're sorry your experience fell short of expectations, and are happy to provide a bit more clarity around our algorithm and daily portions. When it comes to calorie recommendation, we consider large-scale real-world data in addition to each pup’s initial profile information. While we're confident in our algorithm, we do also recognize that each dog is unique and portion adjustments may be necessary depending on their individual metabolisms which can vary similar to how humans can vary as well. With this in mind, each recommendation is a starting point and we do appreciate working in partnership with each customer. We're here 24/7 to ensure a dog’s details remain up to date, and are always happy to assist with adjusting portions when necessary based on each dog’s individual needs as they arise. All that said, we deeply value your feedback, and are always working to improve. So that we can fully support you, please reach out to us at [email protected] — we’re here to help.

I slice the frozen food into portion pieces and serve them partially frozen. Our picky old dog loves gnawing on his "foodsicle," and eats every bite. He loves the taste and texture. I love the honest, reliably quality product and superior customer service.

1) They are lying/misleading when they say you get 50% off your first box. What you get the discount on is a trial box with only a 4 packs of food, not a full box with 28 packs of food. The difference is well over $100. 2) It looks nothing like the advertisements. Nutritionally I imagine it is just fine, but it basically comes as a mush of the various ingredients. 3) When you select the recipes you want, they turn out to be significantly more expensive than what the website first says.

Hi Rick—thank you so much for providing your honest feedback here, and we're so sorry to hear that your experience fell short of expectations. We also wanted to mention that we operate as a subscription service; the pricing of our plans can vary based on a variety of factors such as pet details, recipes selected, the amount of food in each order, and more. With this, we apologize for any confusion surrounding the size of your trial order. Hopefully it's helpful to know that we send our trial orders along with a smaller second box, both of which are designed to give you enough days of food to transition your pup gradually onto our fresh recipes. Additionally, since we don't use any preservatives or additives in our fresh recipes to keep the color consistent, the veggies in our food can sometimes cause a slight color variation. Also, since we cook in small batches and use whole, fresh ingredients, it's completely normal for there to be some variance in moisture, quantity, and sizes of ingredients from batch to batch. We can assure you that the food pictured on our website is the same food we provide for your dog. Rest assured, our recipes are formulated by our on-staff board-certified nutritionists to meet AAFCO complete and balanced requirements. That said, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at [email protected] so that we can delve deeper and ensure we find the best solution for you and your pup.

My dogs absolutely devour every meal and I just recently took in another dog unexpectedly and messed up placing an order for the correct number of bags, a quick text to the support team and they got me taken care of immediately and were so unbelievably kind and accommodating. I was super frustrated and they immediately helped me fix and understand where the issue occurred and gave me immediate solutions. I can’t express my appreciation enough for their amazing customer service and great food that keeps my puppies full, happy, and healthy. Special shoutout to Dani for all they did for me today. Thank you so much again!

We used the farmer’s dog with our boxer for two months. She had Cushings disease and unfortunately passed away recently. I notified farmers dog and not only did they speak to us directly over the phone to express their condolences, they refunded my orders and sent us a sympathy card with flowers! Our dog loved their food and you could tell it was very well made as it benefited her health during the short time she had it. I think the only thing better than the food is the wonderful people working at the farmers dog. 🧡💚🐾

Hanna, thank you for sharing these kind words. We're so deeply sorry for your loss and hope the flowers will serve as a loving reminder of your sweet pup ❤️

Loki is loving Farmers Dog! He has never gone after any dog food before but with Farmers Dog, he gets excited and can’t wait for the next bite or bag!! We don’t have to coax him to eat anymore and we’ve noticed an improvement in his physical condition and his poops have started to firm up. Sometimes I think he wants more than one bag per day.. that is how much he loves it…and he seems to like the pork snap sticks as well.

We're so happy to hear Loki has regained his mealtime excitement!
