I have a little Russell Terrier, and for the first 7 months I had her (I got her at 4 months) she had horrible digestive issues. We tried different foods, all sorts of pro/pre biotics, tested for everything, she just wouldn't thrive. She wouldn't eat, she weighed 8 pounds (and should have been 11), she had intermittant horrible diarrhea, with some slightly firmer stools but infrequently. I finally decided to try Farmer's Dog because we had tried about everything else. The FIRST DAY of feeding, she improved. She had puppy energy, she actually ATE. She had the first firm-ish stools in 7 months. Within a week she was eating 3 meals a day, had gained a pound and had all solid stools. After two weeks, and ever since (has been 4 months now) she has not had one digestive episode, has attained her full weight of 12 pounds, and has the itty bitty little "cat poops" she had when she was a puppy. We had some issues with her not liking two of the recipes (turkey & Pork; not her thing), but she loves the beef and chicken. I have no problem alternating between the two. The delivery/shipping/customer service has been amazing. The food is easy to feed, although it does require some freezer space. Not much, but I can see if you had a big dog it might take a LOT of freezer space. In all, I am so grateful to Farmer's Dog for making my little fur-child finally thrive. I truly believe it saved her life.

I came to the The Farmer's Dog as a last resort for my 14 year old mixed breed dog. I was afraid I was going to lose her because she completely stopped eating and was near death(I thought). She was vomiting and not eating or moving. I ordered The Farmer's Dog and she is now back to being excited about meal time and is her energetic self again. She is her old mischievous, into everything, dancing and prancing self! Thank goodness for real food!!!!!

My package had been on the truck “out for delivery” for two days now. Fedex showed up but didn’t have my package. I contacted farmers dog. Talked to Joy and told her the conversation I had with the driver and explained that it didn’t look good. She had me taken care of in less than 5 minutes. Farmers dog, your food is top notch and is a blessing for my fur baby but it is people like Joy that keep the customers for life!! Thank you Joy!!

My dogs absolutely love the food but the delivery is unacceptable. We have had issues with the delivery not being delivered and just saying "returned." No explanation, no call. We live in an apartment complex with 100s of packages being delivered each day so not sure what the issue is. This has happened multiple times now. The food is to be delivered right as you are about to run out. So now because of the missed deliveries, they are unable to deliver it for another 3-4 days and the the dogs will run out of food. The solution? They give recipes so you can cook the food yourself why you await for the shipment. That's great and all but isn't that why you pay the service for the food and delivery so we don't have to make the food? Extremely frustrated with the service

This product has given my beloved service dog a heart murmur and it was already a grade 2 by the time we realized what I had done. I had been feeding him the farmer's dog thinking I was doing a good thing when a perfectly healthy chihuahua developed a heart murmur. When the vet asked me if I had done anything different I told her that I had started feeding him the farmer's dog. She almost freaked out and told me to get him off of this food immediately. This was one year ago in August 2022. I took Ginder to the vet for his annual visit yesterday and the vet said that his heart murmur has gone from a grade 2/3 to a grade 4 only since March 2023. I know to some people he is probably just a dog but he is more than that to me and I have been beside myself. He will have a consultation with a canine cardiologist in October to see what can be done to either stabilize or correct the heart murmur. Because the murmur is causing his heart to become enlarged. He developed a heart murmur because I thought I was doing a good thing and was purchasing the Farmers Dog subscription service a while back. My vet told me that dogs need to have grains in their diet because some dogs will develop heart murmurs if they are on a grain-free diet. So not only does my dog have a grade 4 heart murmur and an enlarged heart but I'm the one that gave it to him! The good thing is as of right now his lungs are clear and everything else is healthy. He was only on the farmer's dog for about 6 months to a year if that and the food has ruined our lives so beware and make sure that you consult with your veterinarian before changing your dog's diet.

I got my first box, thawed out a bag, fed it to my dog once. At that point I had 3 days to edit my next order. I went ahead and moved the date of my 2nd box back, since we had just started transitioning and I have well more than 2 weeks of food on hand right now. In so doing, I see the daily cost for that 2nd box is $5.07, which is almost a dollar per day more than the plan price of $4.12 per day. I go to customer service, who sends me a two paragraph "clarification" that basically tells me they decided to send me a 20 day supply of food and it's discounted to match my bulk pricing. Well...no. It's almost a dollar a day more than my bulk pricing, which is why I reached out. When I press them on this, I get told a 2nd time that it's discounted to match my bulk pricing. They charged more per day because they decided to send me 20 days instead of 56, and then they pretended to discount it to the correct daily rate and then lied about it directly to my face, expecting me to believe what they were saying instead of what my eyes saw. The math wasn't even correct. What they were actually charging me for the 20 day supply was $4.46 per day, which was never a price that was offered or advertised. I got no explanation for any of this. Instead of correctly pricing the 2nd box they were charging me extra per day for, the solution was to skip over that box and go directly to the 56 day supply order. The whole thing makes zero sense to me and there was no kind of responsibility or ownership over the actual issue. Just that they got caught by someone who didn't accept their scripted response. Pay attention to your bills from them, ask questions, and don't let them gaslight you. Edited after I saw their reply: I'm really I shocked that they tripled down on their claim they had my in between box priced correctly. So glad I canceled this nonsense.

Our dog, Jake, loves his Farmer’s Dog meals. Nothing makes him happier than meal time! His weight is great and his fur is super shiny!

My boxer has a sensitive stomach and never had a solid stool. Been a client of Farmer's Dog now for over 4 years and he knows exactly when breakfast and dinner are. He loves all the brands and according to the vet his health is explementary. Stools solid, energy up. If anyone is on a budget like I am. I feed him half a bag a day and supplement with kibble on the side. In addition, Customer Service has always been responsive and I've never had an issue with orders or quality.
