Yikes, I wish I would have read reviews of Tesco Direct before I purchased a Nintendo Switch from them. I just moved here from a country with kick-butt delivery systems and actual package tracking. I thought supply chain systems were more advanced in the UK. I thought wrong. I ordered a game and the console on August 30th with a delivery date anywhere between August 31-September 5th. For some reason Tesco Direct broke my order into two packages. The game arrived on the 4th from Royal Mail and the console has yet to be delivered. The only update for the Switch says that it was 'created' on August 31st. It's now September 6th and I have a game, but no Switch to play it on. Which is cool. Anyway, the Switch is now 'out of stock' on their site with a supposedly new restock date of September 9th. They probably just took my order, charged me and will send me a restocked Switch around Christmas. Which, again, is pretty neat.

Incorrect system notifications Preordered Guardians of the Galaxy 2 boxset. I noticed this had not been dispatched the Friday before release (it was released on the monday) I contacted them via Twitter and asked when they will dispatch and why they hadnt in time for release. I got a response saying contact them again if i do not receive it for release. I received the boxset on the saturday morning the same day i had a dispatch email. Surely this should have been sent the day it was dispatched? Makes me doubt the My account page and the accuracy of the information being provided

Absolutely gobsmacked at the shockingly low level of service I have received from Tesco Direct. I read the reviews, took the criticisms with a pinch of salt, and placed my order for two sofas nearly three weeks ago. I received a delivery time on the absolute last day of the potential delivery bracket (20th October) but we are pretty relaxed about these things - and we're renovating our house anyway so those timings suited us. I then get a call two weeks later (TWO WEEKS) saying there had been a technical issue in sending my order and my order would be delayed. No further information given. I called to find out when I could now expect my order, the customer service rep had no idea but said I would receive a call within 24 hours, and he would flag that up on the system. I did not receive a call within 24 hours. I called up again today, a few days later, and another customer service rep clearly didn't have a clue what was going on either. She did say that due to a technical issue all orders were being put in the system manually (??) and my order still had not been sent. In essence, after placing an order for sofas in early August, I seriously don't know if I'm going to get these sofas this side of Christmas?! This whole process is extremely suspicious; it seems they rely heavily on third-party suppliers so you make your order, get excited about the product but they genuinely do not know if that supplier will be able to fulfill the order until very late in the day. I would expect this shambolic approach from a low-level furniture website, but Tesco?? I would recommend you turn away from their catalogue now and choose some furniture from a more reputable retailer before you end up in the same situation as we are in now.

I bought a vacuum cleaner two months ago and it stopped turning on. After talking to technical support, they asked me to try replacing the fuse. Since that didn't work, they forwarded me to talk to the manufacturer directly instead of taking care of the problem themselves. This is unacceptable: - In their returns policy webpage they state clearly: "From 30 days after receipt of the goods until 12 months, we will arrange for a repair or replacement of the goods and, if this does not work, a refund." - This is backed by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act, which states that this right is IN ADDITION to any warranty held by the manufacturer. I got tired of arguing with Tesco so I took the manufacturer's phone number and I will call next working day, but this is the last time I ever buy anything on Tesco. I will buy on Amazon or any of the other dozens of online shops who care about the customer and give useful help.

We ordered some artificial grass, and it was to be delivered to our nearest Tesco express, as Iam disabled. I paid some one 50.00 to do the work for me, and to collect the grass When it was delv to the shop. We had a message to say it would be delv to the shop on Wednesday, but would receive a text to say when it's arrived. It's now Friday, no call, no text, I've e mailed 3 times, no response. It's now cost he 50.00 I've got no grass, and the guy has gone. Disgraceful

After initially having an issue (yet again with pretty poor packaging) i informed tesco direct customer services of the problem, they sorted the issue out without any fuss and with great patience and skill, their after sales customer service was outstanding a real credit to tesco for training their staff to react to situations like the one i pointed out, sadly in store when collecting the items i ordered yet again i was not asked for any ID i even at one point offered to show my ID which tesco direct specify whwn collecting any orders but i was told 'ah no need'...! 10/10 for tesco direct customer service

Ordered a sofa from Tesco Direct mid-June, and was given 35 working days for delivery. No communication at all in that time, and after 35 working days, my delivery status was still pending dispatch. My first call to them was fobbed off, and the following week, I was informed that due to a problem with sourcing the fabric, none of this model would be getting delivered before the 28th of August. Not a single email or call from anyone to alert me to this, I had to find out from some unfortunate customer service rep. Very unhappy, at I've spent the last two months in my new flat sitting on camping chairs. Tesco couldn't care less!
