My talkspace therapist barely responded to me and the company wants to charge me 50 dollars for a text with poor English just saying they are there to help. It's ridiculous. Don't waste your money.

Within minutes of signing up they already charged me $10 claiming it was a "hold" charge. Whatever the heck that means. 5 days later those funds are still on hold. After seeing the complaint filed (see below) this year I am shocked my company would even do business with them. Just Google "Weizman vs. Talkspace" for the details

Do not use talk space ! It’s too expensive for the bad counseling. I had a counselor who told me to reach out to a friend who I’d cut contact with and repair the friendship. I was also advised that I needed to go back in with an open mind and be patient with the process , even if things didn’t look great at the beginning of rekindling the friendship. I spent a year and a half “being open minded and being patient with the rekindling process” and it caused more damage to my mental health. I also had a counselor who encouraged me to quit my job because of his own disdain for the corporate structure. After that , I stopped using TalkSpace lol. I’m convinced these “counselors” and “therapists” are just life coaches with a few certifications… no real mental health or therapy training . I’m better now . I finally took a leap and went through an intensive therapy program and the therapy provided through that program exposed the bad services I received from talk space . I will also add , that I should have known better than to trust talkspace when I asked the first counselor was she a licensed therapist and she responded, “my counseling is a form of therapy” . She also started prophesying before the session was over and there was one session where she had her husband in the background, she kept muting her device while I was talking so she could attend to him, and at one point , he started talking during my session . I’m not sure where the great therapists are on this app , but my mental health is too important to treat any attempt to find a therapist like digging through a bin of marked down classics hoping the good stuff is buried at the bottom . Unsatisfactory experience.

My therapist is so authentic and intuitive. She knows how to put my mind at ease by asking probing questions that make me think critically about my experiences. I have learned to reconstruct aspects of my life that were causing me stress and anxiety. I’m a work in progress and she reminds me to give myself grace as I try to heal.

The therapists and NP’s are not trained well enough to offer advice and medication. My NP diagnosed incorrectly and almost killed me with her medication regime.

The quality of my therapist is the only reason I continue to use Talkspace. More than once the platform has failed and the support and help from Talkspace is hopeless. I’ve received surprise bills from over a year ago, inability to start new sessions with my therapist that are dismissed by Talkspace support, and am on my fourth account because I get separated from my therapist and Talkspace tells me they can’t figure out how to reconnect me without creating a new account

When I found my therapist; I had to leave my previous one behind due to my benefits changing and I am so glad I landed here. Due to a company benefit I am able to have therapy twice a month, and my current therapist is very professional, helps me reach my goals, and knows their stuff!! I feel affirmed as an LGBT individual who was diagnosed with ADHD. I requested a specific therapist and was matched with somebody who aligned with what I wanted to work on.

Talk space is very easy to use. I like that I choose what counselors I feel most comfortable with. I can easily reschedule a session for another day if I need to.
