Forget this woman!!! What a whackjob.
I am requesting a formal investigation into this therapist and Talkspace’s vetting process for providers on your platform. After one 60-minute session, this therapist canceled our second appointment at the last minute. I rescheduled for the following week, and instead of providing actual therapy or continuity of care, she came onto the platform and told me I should be tested for autism, then stated that she could not continue as my therapist. How is this acceptable clinical conduct? How can a therapist make a statement like that after only one session, without any formal evaluation, proper assessment, explanation, or meaningful therapeutic relationship? That is not responsible care. It is dismissive, reckless, and deeply inappropriate. I am not worried about being autistic because I'm clearly not. But if she encounters someone who is deeply fragile, she can do some serious damage.
