I am finding Talk space very generic and recommendations are basic and not helpful. Suggestions are too broad such as plan your whole year and make a game plan of what you want to work on. I told you what I want to work on and if I could plan and do it on my own I would have done that for free by now. I am finding that my teaching degree has taught me everything needed to counsel any adult since it is the same behaviors and replacement suggestions as children. I know the information I am trying it on my own but merly telling me to not be so difficult and negative on myself and plan my replacement behavior like a walk has not helped. I have again tried that on my own and it is not helping.

Love the availability to meet from home. Makes it more personal as well. Not sitting in some waiting room feeling awkward. Love the personalized care my therapist takes. This has been an incredibly helpful journey.

Every year we get a “your insurance has expired” and then the fight begins for TalkSpace to review the EOBs and process our insurance. Then it’s “you’re out of credits” and then the fight begins until finally our account gets restored. In the meantime my daughter goes without. We have decided to move on. We have found another service that does not interfere with our daughter’s therapy and will actually be helpful instead of giving answers that do not solve the problem and the putting “solved” on the issue when it’s not. Also it would be helpful to talk to someone versus going back and forth via messaging. Waste of valuable time.

Therapy gets a bad rap, you certainly don’t think of ‘great experiences’ when you think about trauma, processing, hard truths, and honest guidance. But Talkspace has changed the approach & that has changed everything. You’re still going to process trauma or get the guidance you now is best but don’t want to hear, but the difference is now you experience it on your terms. Are you a text person, or maybe a phone but not video person? Talkspace helps you do the hard work by providing you options to create your own safe space. Sometime I can only process via texting & sometimes I need to look at my therapist & see her be there. No matter what the issue is, Talkspace gives me the space I need when I need it.
