The Psychiatrist I recieved was extensively knowledgeable and patient. Dr. Hess is a methodical doctor who will take the time to determine what is working and what needs improvement. Trying to find that in clinic has been extremely difficult recently.

Don’t book Talkiatry. Charged $400 after insurance due to “psychotherapy” being included despite explicitly stating I’m ONLY interested in medication management (I do therapy in-person elsewhere). Was told “psychotherapy” also includes the time DESCRIBING the medications (side effects, dosage) I’m on in my first appointment & beyond… $198 worth for this line item :,-) Doctor was fine, but the cost is stupidly high and not communicated until post-appt with no ability to remove charges that shouldn’t have been applied via their call center.

Easy scheduling. Top notch providers. I feel safe for my mental health needs.

I use Talkiatry and the process is so easy from start to finish. Scheduling appointments is simple, and I never deal with the usual headaches or delays. My provider is incredibly competent and attentive, and I feel fully supported at every visit. Keeping appointments is effortless thanks to their reminders, and the whole experience feels streamlined and professional. I highly recommend it.

I tried twice to set up an appointment with their providers. The first time, I received an email cancellation the day of the appointment telling me there was a problem with my insurance, so I called and had to reschedule that appointment. I provided the insurance information and scheduled a new appointment for the following week. Again, the day of the appointment, I received an email saying there was a problem with my insurance. Talkiatry made no effort to contact me to confirm this information before abruptly cancelling my appointments and instead just kept giving me the runaround on scheduling. I never received any written correspondence about a patient portal or anything other than email cancellations. I can't speak to the quality of their therapists as I never even got that far with their poor customer service.

Had an appointment with a psychiatrist who was really rude. He stated that he’s not there to listen to my concerns. He just wants to know what medication to put me on. After telling him what I think I had, he diagnosed me with major depression disorder, and prescribed Lexapro Then set an appointment for a month ahead of time. Said that he would reach out to get me a therapist. Turns out none of the therapist are in network with my insurance so they told me to find someone somewhere else. Since I have not found a therapist, I canceled my appointment with the psychiatrist. I got an email 24 hours later telling me that they have dismissed me as a patient and will no longer see me. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My doctor really understands ADHD. She’s helped me in several ways from my impulsive shopping to my focus at work. She gives me great suggestions to incorporate in my life as well as monitoring my medications effectively. I was very skeptical due to a lot of horrible therapy experiences, but I now finally feel like I can get the help that I need and have been looking for without the PTSD of therapists past.
