Do not put your mental health in the care of this company. They have VERY poor quality patient care, an extreme lack of patient transparency, and so many billing issues and poor customer service issues to count. As a former patient, l was never informed about very specific information about medication I was on by my provider, ultimately causing me to leave Talkiatry and seek care elsewhere. I wasted countless hours and money on these services, do not waste yours.

I scheduled an appt for my mom and it was confirmed. The next day they cancelled her appt saying that her Blue Cross C+ had to be primary and Medicare secondary when everyone knows that Medicare is always primary. Tried called customer service--Absolutely useless. This company is about the company and NOT patients. Stay away.

Convenient not had any problems and love my provider

They made a problem where none existed and charged me 1149 for 3 visits. Y’all the visits were an hour each. I literally had to decline the practitioner on what she said I had versus what Id already treated with my therapist and family doctor. I promise she was kind but you can’t diagnose me as bipolar for events that happened over 15 years ago. I had moderate to severe depression per their depression tool. Guess what it’s been a crap year with frequent violence and war and children starving to death and flat out hate crimes daily. Yes I cry every day because I’m powerless. I’ve been pulled over for being brown twice in the last month. I’ve now made it a habit to carry my passport and birth certificate for fear of deportation. I live in fear for being brown i think it’s reasonable to be stressed out. However I went there for ADHD symptoms and I pointed it out to her and she said well you would take the med you’re already on and the skills you already do. I’m done. I hate that company for taking money and running with it. Shame on y’all

After zero support in conquering the tech issues on their website and not being able to access initial visit, next scheduled visit with intake psychiatrist was an hour asking me identical questions to a survey I had already completed. Rx couldn;t get filled as someone entered exp date instead of DOB from my drivers licence in their system. After being bombarded by texts, calls, and emails about scheduling a visit with therapist, they had "matched" with 1 person. That person works with kids and substance abuse issues. Had no experience with older adults or my issues. More time spent trying to get them to problem solve their issues and ended with zero therapy and 1 psych appt about 4 weeks after "registering". Go elsewhere. Adding billing experience: Again after conquering their system and uploading insurance info and after receiving 3 emails (remember the part about bombarding) that "Your Insurance Coverage has been Verified", a month later they send a bill in full. Had not billed insurance. wtf. For the sake of your mental health AVOID TALKIATRY.

Company touts all over their website that they are covered by BCBS -- this is a lie. I have their BCBS' PPO. Talkiatry tried setting me up with 2 psychiatrists that were not in my network or within BCBS's local contracting PPO network. I have spent over 3 hours of my time the past 3 days to be no where closer to having a psychiatrist. If you have BCBKS stay far away from this awful practice. Cannot speak to any clinician, only staff members who have no clue about insurance and lie to clients on the phone. I'm lucky enough to not take their word and double check on the front end, but this is unacceptable behavior. They are lying, and then to make it worse, they try and get you in as soon as possible so you can get screwed over with their 48 hour 100 dollar cancelation policy. This is a broken system. stay far far away. I was a hopeful that read all the reviews and thought well there are good ones, maybe I'll be lucky. I wasn't. Maybe I'll save you time too.

From billing to clinicians Talkiatry is incapable of providing a professional standard of care. Medication never correctly filled, patient not informed of risks and contraindications, billing incompetent. Stay away.

So far everything has been easy and pleasant. Communication is easy and responses have been quick. I really like my doctor and I appreciate the fact that they accept Medicare.
