One collar still works great, battery on other has weakened alot

I had no problem’s with my 3 collars

I have used the SpotOn collar for 3 years. Have never had any issues that needed support. My dog, Max, has never strayed outside the boundaries when he is wearing the collar and has only had a few corrections. We live in a remote location with timber on all sides and the reception has always been good. This is peace of mind from a paranoid dog mom!! I highly recommend using the SpotOn system for your dog.

The collar continually shocked my dog when he was no where near the line. Terrible experience.

We purchased two SpotOn collars just over a year ago for our two dogs and, for the first 7–8 months, we were genuinely very happy with them. Unfortunately, for the past 5–6 months we have had ongoing problems and have reached the point where we no longer feel comfortable putting the collars on our dogs. The GPS tracking became increasingly inconsistent, to the point that we eventually cancelled the GPS subscription because we weren't getting reliable tracking. We also started having to reconnect the collars almost daily, and even after reconnecting them there was no guarantee they would function properly. Far more concerning has been the reliability of the actual fence. We've had both dogs walk through their established boundary without receiving a correction, only to be corrected some time later when they were well outside the fence perimeter. Not only is this a major safety concern, it has created confusion for our dogs. They were trained to understand where their boundaries were, and being corrected in areas where they should be allowed to go has negatively affected that training and their confidence in where the safe area actually is. We've spent months troubleshooting with SpotOn. We've deleted and recreated fences, tried new boundaries and followed the troubleshooting recommendations we've been given, but the problems have continued. Most recently, we were told the issues could be related to increased summer foliage interfering with GPS reception. This was particularly frustrating because our property is primarily surrounded by coniferous forest, so the tree canopy does not suddenly appear in the summer. More importantly, these same collars worked very well on this same property for many months before becoming unreliable. At this point, the collars have been sitting unused for weeks. We simply don't trust them to safely contain our dogs anymore. For the amount of money we invested in two collars, plus the subscription costs, we're extremely disappointed. We loved the system when it worked, and if it had continued performing the way it did when we first purchased it, our review would be very different. Unfortunately, a containment system needs to be reliable, and after months of troubleshooting we have lost confidence in these collars.
