I love being able to track where he is when he breeches the fence. I hate that it only notifies you 1 time and if I’m not my my phone when it does. I don’t know that he left. Some times for a fairly long period of time. Wish it would notifies me every few minutes til he returns. I do not always have my phone by me 24/7 I’ve had the collar for 1 1/2 years and I can tell a big reduction in battery time

We have a wooded lot and the fence works great. The only complaint would be that if I am trying to correct the dog manually, there is a little delay in the correction. If I can anticipate the need for the correction, then that works best but is not always possible.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad SpotOn is working well on your wooded property. We understand how frustrating delays in manual corrections can be, especially when timing is important. These commands rely on cellular connectivity, which can sometimes cause delays. If this continues, please reach out to our Support team at [email protected] so we can help. We appreciate your feedback and support!

I do like being able to let my dogs run around the yard but would be better if there was a remote. On of my dogs was going over to the neighbors yard when the weather wasnt great. Kept getting a notice that there wasn't a good connection

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad to hear you're enjoying the freedom SpotOn gives your dogs to explore the yard. While SpotOn doesn't currently offer a handheld remote, we appreciate your suggestion and will share it with our team. We'd also like to clarify that GPS containment and corrections work independently of cellular service, while remote commands through the app require a reliable, strong connection between your phone and collar. We'd love the opportunity to look into the connection issues you've experienced. Please reach out to our Support team at [email protected] or call 603-488-1504 so we can help!

Good product with a major flaw. I have been using it for my two dogs since 2019. The biggest flaw or miss is the lack of alert in the event my dog escapes breaching the zone. It happened the other day and I didn't know about it until I got notification when I opened the app the next day and a notification appeared. In the event my dog escapes I should recieve a sound alert on my phone which does not stop until I turn it off ie Amber Alert We are less than 10 minutes from a major highway. The tracking system is great however it is useless if you are unaware that your dog has escaped. With today's technology I see no reason why such a feature cannot be incorporated into the system.

Thank you for being a SpotOn customer since 2019 and for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how concerning it must have been to discover your dog had breached the boundary without receiving a timely notification, especially with a major highway nearby. We recognize how important reliable escape alerts are for your peace of mind. We appreciate your suggestion for a persistent, audible alert that requires acknowledgment and will share this feedback with our product team. Escape notifications are available with an active cellular subscription, but their delivery can be affected by cellular connectivity and phone notification settings. We'd welcome the opportunity to review why your notification was delayed. Please reach out to our Support team at [email protected] or call 603-488-1504 so we can investigate further.

You lack the ability to explain when things cannot connect, also with your capabilities you should be able to offer a static correction in a key fob type application.
Response from SpotOn FenceOct 20, 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating connection issues can be, especially when it's unclear what's causing them. We recognize the importance of clear communication when troubleshooting and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We also appreciate your suggestion for a key fob that allows you to deliver a static correction remotely. Feedback like yours helps us identify opportunities to improve our products and features, and we'll be happy to share your suggestion with our team. If you're continuing to experience connection issues, please reach out to our Support team at [email protected] or call 603-488-1504. We'd be happy to help!

The containment portion of the fence works great, the tracking leaves a lot to be desired. It very seldom will tell me where he's at when I try and track him says that it has too week of a signal yet it's in an open area and good signal showing on the collar and the phone. But it does keep him contained within the boundaries and customer service when I needed a repair on the collar was very good and responsive so the only downfall is the tracking.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad to hear SpotOn is keeping your dog safely contained and that our Support team was able to assist you with your collar repair. We understand your frustration with the tracking feature, especially when both your collar and phone appear to have a strong signal. While containment relies on GPS satellites, tracking requires both devices to maintain a reliable cellular connection. The signal status displayed in the app may reflect the last successful update rather than the current connection strength. We'd appreciate the opportunity to review your collar's tracking performance and better understand why you're seeing these connection errors. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support team so we can investigate further and help improve your experience.
