Accuracy ?
Accuracy does not seem to be the collar's strong point. I do have heavy tree cover and the collar regulary shows my dog 20 to 30 ft out the fence. Once it even showed her approximately 200 ft out of bounds when I was looking at her in the fence. Sometimes the collar isn't charged even though it's been on the charger over night. I have sent a communication about a corroded contact for the charger, but did not receive a response. Also, I inquired about a flashing red light on the collar several times and did not receive a satisfactory response. On the plus side, the collar has kept her from swimming in the bayou with the alligators (which was the main reason for purchasing the collar in the first place).
Response from SpotOn FenceSep 2, 2026
Thank you for your review and for sharing this honest feedback about your SpotOn collar. We’re glad to hear it has helped keep your dog safely away from the bayou—that’s exactly the kind of freedom and peace of mind we want SpotOn to provide. I was able to locate your account and review your previous outreach. Our records show that you contacted us by email and phone on July 7, 2026. Following that conversation, our team requested additional photos of the collar, reviewed the photos you provided, and sent an email with next steps. It appears we did not receive a response after that message, and we sincerely apologize if you missed it or if it did not reach you. I also see that you reached out again on August 23 regarding the flashing red light on your collar. Our team responded with detailed instructions explaining what each of the collar's light indicators means and how to interpret them. We’d still very much like the opportunity to work through the issues you described, including the GPS drift, charging/corrosion concerns, and any remaining questions about the collar's light indicators. Please check your email for our previous responses, or reach back out to our team when you're available so we can pick things up from there. We’d appreciate the opportunity to get these concerns addressed.
