i have been with songtrust for multiple years , i have a very large catalog with them. to make a long story short i have been contacting them about my music not being fully registered since 2020. they claimed to do an audit on my catalog very long ago but still to this day i am finding songs from 2019 that are not registered . i am positive that they are not providing the promised services. i compare my distribution stats with what songtrust reports and it is not adding up at all. if they ever do reply to emails it will be months later and the emails are just saying they will get back to you. i have very good relationship with their mother company downtown music and they are great but i have no idea why songtrust has gotten so horrible. i feel they are very wrong for not letting clients know what is going on only sending a vague email. we need answers ! we need our music properly registered ! we need communication !!!!!

Cancellation with Songtrust is impossible
I submitted an email as well as a request using their form on April 27th. I have since submitted multiple requests again and again through their form as well as their ticket system as directed. Their has been radio silence. Be careful because when you sign with Songtrust your deal might end up being permanent despite what the terms and conditions may lead you to believe.

Appalling base service, and customer service
121 days and 13 form / email communications without response from ANYONE at Songtrust.
I've noticed the positive reviews for Songtrust below, and I genuinely wish I could share a similar experience, but unfortunately, mine has been quite the opposite. My journey with Songtrust has left me grappling with two significant issues that I've made repeated attempts to resolve.
Firstly, I signed up for Songtrust in April 2020 and initially tested the system by uploading a few songs. When I began to see some income trickling in, I proceeded to load the rest of our songs onto the platform in early 2021. Fast forward to September 2023, with over 700,000 streams and downloads across various platforms, my account balance stands at a mere 90 cents. While I understand that processing royalties takes time, this delay seems exceptionally unreasonable.
The second issue revolves around my songwriting partner who I persuaded to join Songtrust in 2021. In July 2021, I contacted Songtrust to manually link her to our songs and, after a six-week wait, was promised that they would manually link her to the songs I had already uploaded to the system. Frankly, I'm baffled why this couldn't be accomplished through the songwriter's page. However, as of September 2023, she remains unlinked to the songs.
These issues alone would be disheartening, but what truly frustrates me is the complete lack of customer service I've encountered while trying to resolve them. It appears there's no viable avenue for escalation when the usual channels fail. To illustrate this, when I initially sought assistance with getting my co-songwriter assigned to our songs in 2021, it took from August 1st until December 7th to receive this response: "I've sent a request to our Operations team, who will revise these songs to reflect the new Songwriter client writer shares and then have them resent out globally for you. This process usually takes around 10-15 business days. I'll reach out directly to confirm once these edits have been completed." To be clear, I had already credited her as co-author. All I needed was Songtrust to link her Songtrust profile to the songs so that she could receive her portion of the income collected by Songtrust. Regrettably, her profile remains unlinked to the songs, and I never received a follow-up.
In June 19, 2023, I raised both these issues once again, following up with one form request and three subsequent emails. To my dismay, I received no response—zero, zip, nada.
Adding to my frustration, I attempted to locate the contact information for the artist contact person at Songtrust who initially convinced me to sign up, a person named Ben. Despite my efforts, apart from a seemingly ineffectual contact form, there appears to be no other means of reaching out to Songtrust. I distinctly remember there being a page on the website showcasing the company's team when I initially joined, which partly influenced my decision to sign up. Unfortunately, that information has since been removed, leaving no apparent path for escalation except through random Google Maps listings, a rather public avenue for addressing issues, seemingly the only place where some kind of response is forthcoming.
As artists, we expect companies that benefit from our success to, at the very least, offer a minimum level of support. Instead, I find myself contemplating whether I've wasted three precious years of potential income and if I should now embark on the arduous journey of seeking out another publishing administration company.

Once a good company but rapid decline
Was a good company a year or so back but totally down hill since the UK rep left.
- took nearly a year to get the songs registered.
- payments are really slow
- can no longer do set list uploads ( and didnt even contact us about this )
- dont repsond to emails and no customer support.
heard the companies in trouble and not surprised with such poor customer service.
shame really!

Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs, I'm currently trying to chase payments from them and they dont answer any correspondence. The service is non existent, the accounting is less than transparent. Terrible experience and I am out of pocket for it.

Total BS UPDATE
I wrote a highly negative review of Songtrust. I was told to join this company by a very famous friend. About 6 months after I joined and my large catalogue was settled, the company was sold - to the same people who bought CDBaby. Be aware that the first thing the appeared to do is fire all the humans possible and replace them with idiot chatbots. They sat on 38 song registrations for 11 MONTHS. I finally quit, received my LOR and joined Harry Fox and The MLC.
Now I find out that Harry Fox has been sold to a giant company known for misdeeds. Yikes. Surrounded by n'er do wells. It does NOT pay to be NOT famous.
