This was my first time shipping a car. My contact Kay answered all my questions and made the process very easy. The trucker was experienced and handled the car professionally. Everything was done on time and the car arrived in perfect shape. An excellent job by everyone.

I did A LOT of research before choosing a car transport company. My brother was a little nervous about entrusting his car to a stranger. Ship A Car Direct's website videos were reassuring and because of that, we chose this company. Karen kept us informed of each step of the process. Our driver, Andy, of Q Express also reassured my brother when he picked up his car and it arrived in less time than we expected. No damage occurred, just a little dirty from the trek from Massachusetts to California in only 5 days!

I've shipped three cars and many motorcycles, and this business is -- like moving companies, funeral services, home remodeling-- a racket. Common characteristic: you don't use this service (shipping vehicles) very often, you don't know what you're doing and there are dozens of ways to get ripped off, bad service, no follow up, no accountability. These guys handle it for you -- start to finish. The start is lining up their vetted carriers, getting you a firm pickup/dropoff date, and communication with the carriers. The middle is answering your phone calls and emails, staying on top of it. The finish is your vehicle arrives, on time, undamaged, and you don't have to worry about it sitting in an impound lot because the hauler CLAIMS you weren't there and then you're hit with hundreds in fees. All the other guys are running phone centers where they set you up with a carrier, you pay, then you pray. These guys do it different. You don't pay them until they get you a carrier -- specifically identified -- and you don't pay the carrier until they get you the car. And, if something doesn't work, you're covered. Do your homework. Look at their videos, which will tell you two things: (a) there are a thousand ways this process can go wrong; and (b) they'll make sure it doesn't. Full disclosure: I'm a lawyer, and I know that when something goes wrong in shipping a car, you can pay thousands of dollars to "make things right" and it never works out. Do it right from the beginning: use these guys. Don't get me started on a motorcycle I shipped once from Toronto with a "national shipping firm" that was supposed to arrive in Tampa, and got held up in a bonded warehouse in Orlando.

I had a difficult situation where I was leaving one side of the country, but wouldn't arrive at my destination until over 10 days later. I called another company who basically said there was nothing they could do, I would have to either leave my car with someone here in CA or have someone else receive it on the other end. I am not a fan of being told there is nothing that can be done. I called Ship A Car Direct, who acknowledged that the situation was not ideal but we talked through the options and I decided to let them list it. Within 30 minutes I was notified that a trucking company had agreed to pick it up. Ship A Car Direct had a lot of great resources along the way to help me understand the process. The car was delivered later than expected, but this was due to delays with the transport company, not Ship A Car Direct's fault.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to ship their cars across country. We moved from Rhode Island to Florida and Matt helped us find a truck to deliver the cars with short notice and two day delivery. Our cars made is safely to Florida. Thanks again for all your help!
