Ship a car direct was professional from the beginning. After some confusion on my part with availability of the car and arrival date needed, we finally got it pinned down. Lottie, the representative communicated regularly and updated as the process went. The car was picked up on time as well as delivered on time at an affordable price. Thank you so much.

At the end of the day, the car move worked out perfectly (in our case a Honda being shipped from San Francisco to Seattle) - awesome staff on both ends, easy to pay, and more. The ship a car direct app was also helpful. Prices reasonable and better than what our movers would have charged. Only reason I went with 4 stars instead of 5 is that our 3-day window nearly came and went without a carrier accepting the order. Everyone I spoke with at ship a car direct wasn’t remotely concerned, but I think setting this expectation in advance (e.g., that 30% of cars get shipped on day 1 of the window, 40% on day 2, etc) would have helped to lower our anxiety.

I would recommend this company to move your vehicle. We tried using someone else, we could never reach anyone to find out the status of when the car would be moved. Out of frustration we cancelled and went to Tom and Ship-A-Car Direct. The car was picked up within days and got to its destination just as fast. My only complaint is the process to write this review and get the $30 refund!

A little pricey, but, overall a very good experience. I had my car shipped from TX to GA in under 24 hours. Cant beat it.

I had a difficult situation where I was leaving one side of the country, but wouldn't arrive at my destination until over 10 days later. I called another company who basically said there was nothing they could do, I would have to either leave my car with someone here in CA or have someone else receive it on the other end. I am not a fan of being told there is nothing that can be done. I called Ship A Car Direct, who acknowledged that the situation was not ideal but we talked through the options and I decided to let them list it. Within 30 minutes I was notified that a trucking company had agreed to pick it up. Ship A Car Direct had a lot of great resources along the way to help me understand the process. The car was delivered later than expected, but this was due to delays with the transport company, not Ship A Car Direct's fault.

Note: I get a $30 rebate for writing this, and one other review. I was told that if I did NOT click on the box of "I was compensated to write this review" on the first review site (Transport Reviews), I would have to complete this additional review in order to get my rebate. That part felt a little sketchy, but most things went fine as I wrote on the other review (below). *** It was very straight-forward doing business with Ship A Car Direct. We connected with a representative a week before our move date, who told us that they should be able to find someone between 5-7 days. This date range scared us a little because it was cutting it very close to our departure date, and because we had been under the impression that we did not need any lead time (the user video on this topic had said the amount of lead time required was "none...if you give a day or two, that's fine, if you give a week, that's more than enough"). However, a very good carrier was found 4 days later, and everything went smoothly--for pick up and delivery--without any hassle. We appreciated the timely check-ins throughout the process as well as the systematic stream of helpful (emailed) information we received once the carrier was assigned. Under the same conditions (esp, relatively flexible schedule on our end), we would be happy to use Ship A Car as a car transport broker again.

I had a good experience! The communication was good and it was convenient to make the payment through a bank transfer.
