Accidentally placed an order, immediately emailed the customer service with the request to cancel it. Next morning I texted the contact number provided with the mark "text only, no calls". No one replied. A rep emailed me that since the order is unfulfilled it has to be transferred to a different team. The day after I get the order shipment notification and not a single word from customer service.

I ordered a dress back in September from Selkie that was listed as in stock, not a preorder or backorder. Their confirmation email states that in-stock items ship within 1–3 business days. I never received the item, never received tracking, and received no meaningful response when I attempted to contact customer service. After months of waiting, I did not receive the dress and was issued only a small partial refund, nowhere near the amount I actually paid. I had to escalate the situation through my payment provider to get any resolution at all. After experiencing this myself and then reading the many recent reviews describing the same issues—items marked in stock that never ship, refunds delayed or incomplete, and unresponsive customer service... it’s clear this is not an isolated problem. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Buyers should proceed with extreme caution.

It has been a month since I placed my order. I’ve contacted customer service via email a couple times with no response other than “we’ll look into it.” I still haven’t received the dress or a refund or even any indication as to why the order is so delayed. Spend your money elsewhere. UPDATE: I posted a few comments on their instagram and got a dm from customer service. They told me they were having warehouse issues (no problem, but why couldn’t they have said that a month ago?) but they were able to locate my order. I finally received my item January 14. It’s a beautiful dress, but the packaging is not what I’d expect from a brand that charges what they do - a plastic zip bag and the dress was crumpled up. This will probably be my only purchase from them tbh.

My sister and I both ordered from Selkie in October 2025, returned items in November. Selkie lied repeatedly about "processing refunds" while keeping our items and money for 2+ months. What happened: Returned items delivered to Selkie November 10, 2025 (tracking confirmed) November 24: Selkie claimed refund "successfully processed" - LIE December 17: Told my sister again refund was "successfully processed" via text - ANOTHER LIE No refunds ever issued by Selkie Had to file federal CFPB complaints to get money back PayPal paid us, NOT Selkie - they faced zero consequences The scam: Lie about processing refunds repeatedly Only text support (no phone) so they can ignore you Hidden $40+ fees not disclosed until after return Violate their own 5-10 day refund policy Keep item AND payment hoping you give up Cheap products from China marked up 500%. We paid nearly $300 combined, fought for 2 months to get it back. Evidence: Order #181918 and #181912, PayPal cases PP-R-VDX-603672116 and PP-R-YHI-605677170, CFPB complaints, text/email proof of lies. DO NOT BUY FROM SELKIE. Their F rating is earned. You'll get scammed.

Ordered a custom corset that was conveniently listed as “in stock.” Waited three weeks, only to be informed two days before Christmas that my order was canceled because—surprise—it was actually out of stock the entire time. Apparently, this company’s definition of “in stock” means we’ll take your money, hold it for weeks, and then cancel when it’s too late for you to do anything about it. Fantastic business model. This was one of the only gifts my daughter asked for Christmas, and instead of a product, I got a last-minute cancellation email and zero solutions. If you enjoy unreliable inventory, poor communication, and holiday stress, this is the company for you. For everyone else: do not order from here—especially if you need something by a certain date or if it’s a custom item. Save yourself the disappointment and shop literally anywhere else.

The company essentially took 550 euro from me and gave me nothing. They shipped with DHL who only emailed me twice about shipping taxes "estimate" then apparently returned the parcel after 7 days of holding it and then destroyed it (according to the merchant but there is no record of this anywhere, it seems very suspicious). DHL never told me what the actual tax cost was, how long they were going to keep the parcel for and when they were going to return it. NOTHING. Selkie felt zero responsibility for it and offered no solutions, they just said "yeah sorry we can't refund you and that's it". Their customer service representative lacked compassion and basic intelligence. Not even offering to ship again or a partial refund is ridiculous. Absolutely shocking behaviour. One of the dresses was supposed to be a gift. Thankfully my bank stepped it and ordered them to issue a refund because it was obvious how unfair it was. Terrible company.

They are not responding to any email, text, chat... horrible customer service. Do not purchase anything from them. I have not been able to even begin a conversation with them about a customer service need.

I placed Order #185055 on November 25 because the website clearly stated a 1–3 day (up to 7 days) processing time for ready-to-ship items. Today is day 7, and my order is still not processed or shipped. Customer support now claims the processing time is actually 2–3 weeks plus an additional 10–14 business days due to holidays. This information was not shown at checkout and completely contradicts what the website advertises. I paid a high amount and relied on the stated timeline. If the real processing time had been shown, I would not have placed the order. I am requesting one of two resolutions: Ship my order this week, with a confirmed and guaranteed shipping date, OR Issue a full refund due to misleading processing information. I am not receiving clear answers, only delays and conflicting explanations. This is unacceptable. Order #185055.
