I bought a very expensive bathing suit…
I bought a very expensive bathing suit from selkie, a during the entire time, customer service was great with communication. I got the bathing suit within a couple of buisness days. I put it on an hated the way it looked on me. Their brand is size inclusive, but didn’t do my 6ft 190lb body any justice in the studio fairy suit (the one I bought).I immediately hated it. It was a beautiful bathing suit no doubt, but it fit extremely funny, so I wanted to return it after paying 220$ for it (yea crazy right I know) but it was soo beautiful, it just didn’t “fit” me beautifully. I went to return it an it asked why, an I chose the option about it was too small, which it wasn’t, but it wasn’t too big either. It just wasn’t flattering at all. Let’s just say I was able to return it, but only got 184$ back out of 220$ :( reason being is selkie makes YOU pay for the shipping, return label, ect so they take it out of your refund, which is why I took off a star. They would have gotten 5 stars as a company if they would have given me my entire refund back. I shouldn’t be punished because the bathing suit didn’t fit me right, an I feel like that’s exactly what happened. All because I didn’t want to keep it because it fit me awfully, they made me pay to ship it back an I don’t feel that’s right at all. They offer when you return it if you got a gift card to them instead with your refund, that they would add another 20-25$ to your refund in exchange for a selkie gift card to get something else to entice you to keep your money with them. Because I wanted my money back, they made me pay for that. I didn’t like that at all, as I lost about 25$ of my own money just because I wanted to return it. Customer service was super nice, but the return and refund policy is bs.
