Commingled my employer access with my personal ID and accounts. Thanks Schwab! I really enjoyed the override of my employer's internal controls and having our auditors have access to my personal finances. Awesome job not understanding the basics of fraud prevention! I'd use any other brokerage possible, and transferred out everything I could. This company is the Sterling Foster/Stratton Oakmont of 2024 just waiting to happen.

I am a former TD Ameritrade customer that was forced to move to Schwab. Because of Schwab's prompting, I opted to move to online instead of paper statements. I assumed that was ok because they would retain records for a number of years. I did not realize they would cut off all online access to historical statements and tax statement if you close an account. Because Schwab online site was so difficult to work with, I decided to move my IRAs and designated beneficiary account to another brokerage. I have now lost all online access to my IRAs and brokerage accounts. I am unable to use TurboTax to download tax information automatically. Only by calling by phone was I able to reestablish access to my joint beneficiary account for one day only, but not to my IRA records from Schwab or TDA. The best they could do is overnight paper copies. Moral of the story: don't close an account with Schwab if you want to continue access to account documents. Don't follow their advice to opt for online statements.

not only 1099 comes out late, it changes the date. at first it says feb 2nd, then feb 16th. don't even wanna start with the operation on my app. if its not ameritrade sold to them, I would never go with them.

You name it, Charles Schwab screwed it up. I moved money into Charles Schwab and that was my biggest mistake. I asked them on a recorded line not to take out money out of my checking account to fund my Roth IRA. They did it anyway. Now they've messed up my taxes and when I called them on it they pretend that they can't hear me and disconnect the call. This ploy they used over and over and over with me. Do yourself a favor and find another company other than Charles Schwab.

I have been with TD Ameritrade for 20 years. I was mostly satisfied with their trading platform, despite the fees. Schwab gobbled up TD Ameritrade and ruined the mobile app. Recently initiated a funds transfer from Schwab to my bank, and somehow the thinkorswim app flipped accounts around, so money got pulled from my bank into Schwab account instead. Have had paperless statements selected, since the transition, yet they still mail me statements. During the transition, I could not trade for nearly a week. After three strikes, since they cannot seem to follow instructions, I will fix this money transfer, then take my money elsewhere.

I opened my Schwab IRA brokerage account while on orders stationed in Germany. On return to the states I changed my address which they did not record. In today’s effort to transfer funds I was hamstrung by my duty station German address. I called to change the address in their system and was advised to follow a lengthy document intensive process to upload into their “secure portal”. Really Schwab? For a simple change of address? Avoid these clowns. Too many other customer centric firms out there.

They do not give you the ability to protect your investment in a retirement account. The big boys can do it with other people's money but you as an individual are prevented from doing it. Disgusting.

I filled out an order to send a bank wire from my 401k. Once completed I received emails stating it could 3-5 additional days!! They don't want to RELEASE YOUR $$. I am cancelling Charles Schwab. BAD SERVICE!!!
