Charles SchwabReviews of schwab.com

Charles Schwab's trading platform is not user friendly. I don't like to trade on this kind of platform. TD ameritrade trading platform was much much better. Hope Charles Schwab pay attention to our complaints.

I have been with CS for over 40 years. I have experienced a noticeable decline in service and out-right benign empathy from its broker servise reps. The fixed income department is the worst and does not allow limit orders on bond trades. There history file of your transaction does not report many bond transactions. All the servise rep can do is wait to hear back from the fixed income department. It’s time to look elsewhere to provide me better customer service.

Since they do not transmit your transactions to the market, they do not give you your money when you make a profit. They didn't even give me my deposit. They don't reply to emails, they don't respond to live chat, and they don't respond from WhatsApp. I had to use the letter on my tittle and they gave an aid

I have been banking with Schwab for four years now, after moving to the US from the UK, as they were the easiest to open an account with, without a credit score. They have been outstanding for me. I’ve had to call them more than a few times for things like international transfer questions, lost card, two cases of fraud - and every time the customer service was courteous, efficient and truly excellent at their job. I have also banked with Chase (a joint credit card with my husband), Monzo, NatWest (for years), and a bunch of others and Schwab is by far the most consistent and helpful. I have no affiliation but want to give credit where it’s due - I can't stress enough what a difference it makes to have customer service like then you call because there's an issue and you need often urgent help. Thank you Schwab and keep up the good service.

I have brokerage accounts with TDA and Schwab and when they merged, I wanted to diversify my accounts. I requested a transfer of my brokerage account on the 1 of Dec from Interactive Brokers and Schwab charged me $50 for the transfer with no warning or anything. When I noticed the $50 loss when I logged into my account in Interactive Brokers today, I called Schwab and they said it was covered in the terms and conditions, which I read carefully last year and I don't recall that fee sheet she showed me on their website. She also said it was too late to cancel the transaction. Very frustrating and I would not recommend anyone use them. They could easily email or warn you when you request a transfer but of course they want that $50, so they don't! TDA I've liked but not sure how they will be now that Schwab bought them so I am moving my money from there as well

Cannot recommend. Their "back office" "accidentally deleted" my account with all the funds in it and have YET to restore it. On top of that, their "commission-free trading" is offset by poor broker execution. If you look at real-time professional market data, Schwab prices are always a few ticks higher. They prey on the unsophisticated consumer instead of tailoring to the professional trader. STAY AWAY.

I have been trying to open an account for my daughter and it's been over a month since all paperwork has been submitted. I been told over and over again they have everything they need and you should get confirmation in two days. Has that happen yet? NO and no one can tell me why. They keep passing the buck and transferring me to one department to the next. No customer service what so ever! Save your time and your money for a company who actually values you as a customer!!
