I went to Sally's on 7/3 with my daughter and we were going to have a color our hair day. I am 50 and never colored my hair before with a Permanent dye. Since my hair if fine and black, I really been admiring these older women rocking the short hair with the cool younger woman vibes by sporting fun colors, well I wanted to jump in the pool of cool women with short hair and fun colors. I saw a Silver that I imagined I would be drop dead gorgeous, there were two women working and I can tell one of them was probably a new hire because she called the other gal for a pencil stick"! She was nice though I am not going to give her a hard time because she did try. There are some who see you standing right there and won't do a thing, and I'm the one to say. "Are you on the clock", if so, I need your help. This day was not haggling, but it was fake it tells you make it because my silver turned out brown, orange like an" Orangutang"! I thought I was a character on Charlie Brown pumpkin patch feast", heck I probably looked like Woodchuck but Orange. It was a disaster but I am cuter than most so I was able to have a haircut, hair do that rocked my golden skin tone therefore, the compliments from my young adult Gen Z ers, assured me that I can pull it off, I tried, don't know how the public felt but I embraced the sun for a moment on this scalp and then I felt like a pig on the grill. The 4th celebration I wore a washcloth on top of my head, the whole time! I went back to Sally's on 7/6 and was given a refund. I was also told that the 30 activator was not the best to use with that dye and I would probably been safer to bleach my hair first to accomplish something of what I was trying to get. My experience. My hair is ................. I will figure it out.
