Quick questions to help you reach your goals. Their therapist is very good at explaining & helping me see my issues clearly so I can work on them.

The first therapist was very unprofessional. I sent an email complaining about a shortened session. Never heard anything back.

I am very familiar with Zoom, and accessing the meetings have been easier than before.

I completely regret my decision to use this platform for therapy and psychiatric care. Doing so has caused me so much anxiety and pain so I’m hoping I can prevent someone else from having to go through the hell I did with this horrible company and their terrifyingly incompetent nurse. They do not have real psychiatrists but matched me with nurse practitioner Shannon Jones, who gave me a bad feeling from the beginning. She was not listening to me talk but instead appeared to be typing and completely disengaged during the 10 minute sessions in which my insurance company was billed hundreds of dollars. She kept prescribing higher and higher doses of a medication that was giving me bad side effects and prescribed another medication that was contraindicated for my situation. She also demanded us to schedule appointments at least every two weeks (sometimes twice a week) for no apparent reason. She would refuse to sign off on my off work extensions unless I made the appointments. I later found out she gets paid the bulk of what Rula gets paid for each session. None of the above would even have prompted me to write this review. What actually broke the camel’s back is that after one session, Shannon demanded to speak with my husband about my care. She literally had me hand the phone over to my husband,by threatening to call the authorities on me if I didn’t, and told him I need to “rest.” Yes, you read that correctly. This woman violated a patient’s HIPAA rights to tell her husband that she needs to rest. There was no indication of self harm, harm to others or child abuse. Over two weeks later and everyone I tell about this is shocked. Not surprisingly, Rula took her side despite solid evidence that Shannon completely violated her ethical duties as a nurse and, more importantly, HIPAA laws. They initially pretended to be concerned but once they realized how bad their employee screwed up they doubled down and have been radio silent in addressing my concerns. I have no idea how many people at Rula were going through my private session notes as Shannon (even after I requested that she be removed from my team by Rula) was contacting my therapist and demanding that she speak to Shannon’s supervisor and the Rula care coordinator about me. This is causing me extreme anxiety to this day. I will be pursuing action with the nursing board, my insurance company and any other avenue possible to ensure that Rula and Shannon do not do this to another patient again.

My therapist is highly qualified to work with my current mental health challenges. Yet she is empathetic while empowering me with better understanding and guidance towards gaining new skills & strategies to better process & heal.

The NP they assigned to me invaded my privacy and spoke to third parties regarding my personal health info. It was a huge debacle. She also prescribed me medication that was completely inappropriate for my situation and actually counterproductive. She continually made bad judgments and doubled down after I complained about her to Rula. Not surprisingly, Rula sided with her and did not pursue any administrative action or investigate the situation properly. Just know that your personal health info (including treatment notes) is not safe on this platform and people who are not part of your care team have the ability to access it at will.
