Purchase two Roadster V3 for my wife's birthday/26th anniversary. Both came very quickly at the earlier of the estimated shipment range. I received shipment updates via email and FedEx as well as instructions on next steps and assembly. Once the two bikes arrived, they were easy to put together with the tools that were provided. My neighbor is a bike enthusiast and provided me with a torque wrench (very useful to prevent over-tightening of the screws). He also commented on the value of the bikes and how well they appear. I had no problems following instructions and checking for any issues per the prior emails. I ran into a small problem with the seat clamp screw breaking. I called support. They advised me to complete the support form and provide photos and other information. I completed the submission and they processed the request. I received the part the next day in time for my wife's special day. Unfortunately it rained all day so other than taking a ride to verify the assembly (yesterday), I was not able to go for the long ride with my wife today; hopefully no rain tomorrow. Both bikes ran well when I tested them briefly and I am encouraged that everything appears in order after the shipment and assembly. I will know more soon, but expect smooth sailing! Ride1Up was very professional and helpful and the purchase, delivery, and assembly went smoothly. Omar (customer support) was very helpful and made my experience very positive.

Far above it's price point!!
Shipping was fast and assembly was straight forward. A beautiful bike and is far above its price point.
If you are on the fence just get it! You'll be happy you did!
Customer service is great too, had a question and had an answer in less than 24 hours.

I have a Roadster V3 and I think…
I have a Roadster V3 and I think overall the bike is engineered very well. This is my first e-bike and it's become a go-to bike in my collection for a variety of reasons. I'd put it up against name brand bikes for overall quality, engineering and function. I'm 5'7", 30" inseam, and bought the size medium as recommended, but a heads up, for someone with a vertical challenge like myself, medium size fits like a larger bike when it comes to standover clearance--I've learned to tip it to the side when I come to a stop otherwise the top bar is right up in my personal business. Not a big deal to me, I'm happy with my workaround (also I couldn't imagine riding a step-through frame), so just something to note if you're inseam is 30" or less and that stand-over height is a make or break issue for you. However, I've had some picky things, some solved and some ongoing, that have been bothersome that are mostly quality control. I'm not a professional bike mechanic, but I've done a lot of skinning my knuckles on chainrings over the years, have a lot of bike specific tools and that's been an important factor in keeping me from getting really frustrated with the bike. Some of the smaller things include that the headlight mounting sandwich of washers was missing some pieces and wouldn't stay in place, so I had to go to the hardware store to buy some extra lock washers, and, while it seems simple enough, it turned out to be a bit of a pain in the butt wrangling the sandwich of pieces together. Also, I've had the front wheel on the truing stand twice now in less than a month of ownership--there was a lot of pinging in the front wheel from the start and it wasn't just spoke nipples settling in; some of the nipples have come completely loose twice and the wheel developed an unnerving wobble. I've resorted to using some thread lock on the nipples hoping they're not permanently frozen in place. I'm hoping things are settling in after this latest truing, but starting to wonder if some threads on spokes and/or nipples were stripped in assembly--another QC question. The tires it came with, Continental Terra something-or-other have almost no puncture protection and the goat-heads of West Texas seemed to run about 100% rate of punctures--ended up with a puncture on my first long ride. I switched to Schwalbe Marathon e-plus tires for puncture resistance since I wasn't planning on doing any gravel riding and it's mainly a commuter for me. And while I understand the Ride1Up has the right to re-spec parts, the change from a fixed angle stem to variable angle stem was not a good one--I think the issue is that the locking pieces inside the variable angle stem were powder coated and that coating left just enough play that, under heavy acceleration, I kept feeling the stem and handlebars slip slightly. I had to pay $45 to get a fixed angle stem and it's quite an engineering feat to switch it out because of the cable management system. Don't get me wrong, I really like the bike, I look forward to riding it daily and I especially like that it is bike-adjacent enough that I can do these repairs myself; however, someone who doesn't have the tools or interest in learning these skills will probably want to locate a local bike shop or bike friend willing to help with the break in period.

It's a solidly made bike
It's a solidly made bike. I've put about 300 mi on it so far. About 70% off-road on rail trails and pretty bumpy wooded paths. Nothing crazy. It's holding up just fine and it's fun to ride. And if you're like me, someone who's had multiple knee injuries and are looking for a way to get out and get some exercise. This has been perfect. I love this bike.

Best mid motor mountain bike value
Why did I buy this bike? I am 70 years old, have owned numerous bikes, in mind, something that had power assist, but not full power. THERE IS NO THROTTLE ON THIS BIKE. It’s a mid motor design that keeps the center of gravity lower because the weight of the motor is at the bottom bracket versus front or rear hub. The motor provides a power assist that you can feel but still forces you to exert energy. There is no cheating on this bike as a longtime cyclist, I don’t feel like I sold out.
Shipping: the shipping was as explained in that there could be punctures, tears, and other damages to the box. I took pictures just in case. (There was no damage.) everything was very well protected.
Construction: there were printed instructions and on-line instructions. Both were concise and simple to understand. The bike went together quickly and easily. I read all the instructions first before I took it for its test ride. There was a checklist of things to adjust. I took a test ride for each item on the checklist and adjusted the part of the bike. Accordingly, I took a total of three test rides for the specific adjustments until they were completed.
Size: the size of the frame was perfect as long as you followed their instructions. I’m 5’8” and went with the smaller frame.
Weight: the bike weighs 57 pounds so you need to adjust your riding to reflect that. At zero power assist, you can feel that weight as you pedal. At the Eco mode, the power assist kicks in and simulates arrive more similar to a lighter bike.
The ride; this is a fun bike to ride. The mid motor adjusts on the fly, to give you that power assist especially in hilly terrain. It is a smooth ride with the front suspension active, and if you want to ride on the flats, you can lock out the suspension to make the bike more efficient. The dropper post is a bonus, especially when you need to stop and start at intersections. The braking is excellent.
Value: the value is terrific. I looked at many brands and many different types of bicycles and found that Ride 1up had the best value proposition Wednesday stacked up against those bikes.
Rating: I give it a four star rating and would have given it five stars if the weight were more along the lines of 37 pounds. But then again this would not be a $2000 bike but a $4000 bike. So there are trade-offs.

Perfect commuter bike
Perfect commuter bike. I have ridden it everyday to work since I got the bike three weeks ago. Grocery shopping has been easy with the panniers as well. I appreciate the attention to detail with built-in lights and standard-equipped fenders. The drivetrain feels natural when pedaling. I also appreciate the ease of switching between power modes. The only complaint I have is the relatively small screen on the bar-mounted computer.

I finally decided to buy this bike 2…
I finally decided to buy this bike 2 weeks ago and it may be the best thing I’ve ever done. I have ridden it 130 miles already and it still makes me smile every time I get on it 😃
