Sonya was easy to talk to and was relatable and not judgemental. The assessment itself was thorough consisting of 2 90 minute sessions with the provider and then a final 45-60minute session where her conclusions were explained. Two people were also chosen by me (with their consent) to partake in answering questions based on my childhood and now adulthood to have more than just my own account of events and behaviors. The one downside is that this assessment is strictly for autism diagnosis and nothing else. Further assessments are necessary to diagnose other conditions including adhd. Despite Sonya stating that my case is primarily due to executive disfunction and adhd, she was not able to formally diagnose that and recommended talking to my personal psychiatrist. I was not aware of this until the final session while reviewing her report. She recommended talking to my psychiatrist and that medication is most likely necessary; however, within her report the medication recommendation was not mentioned.

The psychiatrist I worked with was very helpful. While taking the assessment he helped me understand that the things that made me feel, crazy, different, and a bit difficult to understand, weren’t really problems at all. By receiving the diagnosis, it helped me start to grasp 45 years of struggles that were ignored. I’m grateful for the prosper experience, and I’m grateful that they have after care to help unravel the trauma, but also lead to self love and a greater understanding of self.

Prosper made it extremely easy to 1. Submit my info including adding insurance info 2. They made their cost policy very straight forward. They stated most of the time it was covered by insurance but if it wasn't it was X price split up between the three appointments and they had a note that cautioned if you were choosing an appointment if waiting on insurance 3. Choosing a doctor was so so easy. It listed all of the doctors that practice in my state with little blurbs written by them and what they typically specialized in by the next available appointment dates. Then once I had my actual appoint my doctor was incredibly kind and understanding, but he also made sure we stayed on track for each appointment. When it came to the results appoint he not only told me my results but went over all of the criteria to be diagnosed and if I did or did not meet them and why. They also provided resources after the fact as well. I absolutely recommend this to any adult seeking a diagnosis for autism or even just therapy as they offer that too.

This company was quick, efficient with their knowledge and process, and my psychologist was phenomenal. This provided me with the clarity my life needed!

I had my diagnosis in just a few short weeks based on my availability. They even provide a full report of your assessment and a document with tons of post-assessment resources.
