As an adult female, I had been through a previous assessment and felt totally and utterly dismissed. They literally said in their report they thought I exaggerated how bad my symptoms were and I needed better anxiety medications. Throughout the years my sensory issues have become overwhelming and masking became more evident and taxing on my body. My assessment with Prosper is the first time someone has ever asked the “why” and “how” questions to figure out how my brain worked. My sessions were extremely thorough, and I felt absolutely confident that, regardless of the results, they would be accurate. I did end up receiving an autism diagnosis, and, for the first time in my life, understood myself on another level. Scheduling was easy, communication was clear and open, and post-diagnostic services have been extraordinarily helpful in learning more about my diagnosis and what it means for me, as well as connecting with others who share the same experiences as me. Also, Prosper quoted me a price with insurance, then when insurance refused to pay it less than 24 hours prior to my assessment they honored the quoted price, which saved me nearly $900 out of pocket. I could not have proceeded with the assessment nor have received this diagnosis had they chosen to bill me the full out-of-pocket price, and for that I am extremely grateful. I can’t not speak highly enough of this company and the services they provide adults with autism.
