Waste of my time
Waste of my time. I called to get a 7 day supply of Robaxin, a muscle relaxer I’ve been taking for over 10 years. I just got out of the hospital for severe low back pain & muscle spasms and the Dr was going to send in a prescription but my insurance didn’t cover it. I was mad and didn’t have the $ to pay $62 for 10 pills. The spasms got so bad I called Plushcare to get enough pills until I see my pain mgmt Dr on Jan. 6th and she said since I was taking clonazepam for anxiety I could stop breathing and she would not prescribe it. I told her in 20 years I’ve been on anxiety & muscle relaxers and have never stopped breathing 🥺. I just hung up on her.

Such a scam
Such a scam. Went to address medical issue, doctor could not provide help. Cancelled, resulted in recurring monthly charges AFTER I cancelled.

Very sneaky "membership" fees
#2 UPDATE 01/10/25: – since leaving my original review, and subsequent update (all below) – PlushCare is now responding to reviewers differently, stating "If you would like to continue with our service but not the membership please give us a call to schedule your appointments. Our membership is an added benefit, please see our membership page: plushcare[dot]com[slash]membership"
However if you go to the URL they provide, there is (as of the date or writing) no mention of this sudden new "added benefit" option to continue using the service without paying for the membership.
Also on the membership page it currently states "If we're unable to treat you, we'll provide a full refund" -- they billed my insurance company, and still refuse to reverse it, despite the doctor on my second consult clearly stating "I can't treat you, so you will not be billed". Billing insurance for medical services that a patient has been informed will not be billed, is Insurance fraud.
PlushCare's messaging is all over the place.

UPDATE 01/07/25: – responding point by point to PlushCare's reply, none of which is true:
PlushCare writes (below my review):
"The membership is communicated in a multitude of ways: 1. There is a membership tab on the top of [plushcare dot com]"
Not true. At the time I booked my first appointment late November 2024, and still today writing this 01/07/25 – there is NO membership tab at the top of [plushcare dot com]. Not only is there no "membership tab"... there no mention of membership anywhere on their home page.
PlushCare continues in their review response below:
"2. When you book the first appointment that enrolls you into membership there is a summary of the cost of the membership."
Also not true.
PlushCare continues:
"3. In our welcome email, titled "Welcome to PlushCare", which details the membership benefits."
Also not true. PlushCare never sent a "Welcome to PlushCare" email. I have no spam filter. The first email I received from PlushCare was confirming the date and time of my first doctor appointment. I just went back and double-checked that email, and there is no mention that I had been enrolled in a membership plan with a recurring fee.
This company is fraudulent and dishonest.

Original review 12/28/24:
PlushCare sneaks you into a "membership" service costing $20 a month. In their very first email to confirm your appointment, nothing states you have been enrolled in a membership.
In reminder emails, there is some text underneath the visit details stating "your card on file will automatically be charged every month for your PlushCare membership" – but who would know to look for this in a reminder email? Nobody. I certainly missed it. Looking at reviews I see a lot of other folks do too.
First visit – sudden shingles outbreak on Thanksgiving. The doc I saw was friendly and knowledgeable, definitely helped me out in a pinch. However afterwards she didn't write up any notes or medication directions. Good job I had taken notes.
The second doc I saw about a medication request was nice, but could not help me, and clearly stated "you will not be charged for this appointment because I can't help you" – however I was charged, and my insurance was billed. Despite multiple messages stating this, no refund has yet been forthcoming.
Then today I see the $19.99 "membership" charge and discover I have been enrolled in a monthly "membership" with a company that promises "NO HIDDEN FEES!" in all of their marketing.
Trust me, they are very well hidden.
I will probably get a response here, as others have, telling me all the ways Plushcare DOES make a user aware of the membership when signing up for an appointment in the middle of the night.
But truly, they do not make it clear. They could, and should, make it much clearer, from the very first point of contact.
Afterthought to PlushCare Marketing if it helps – I would be ok with paying an additional fee per appointment, in additional to any insurance co-pay. But the hidden membership fee enrollment feels sneaky the way it's done. It's a shame because I would like to continue using PlushCare, but not under the current "membership" billing setup.

Scam to get more money
Used once for urgent care issue. Dr was fine but was left with reoccurring charges that were difficult to stop. Then keep getting a bill for the urgent care call that says if not paid they will charge the account on file but never do just keep sending me a late bill… and they got more in reoccurring charges for nothing… scam

Recurring charges for nothing
Terrible experience. Have repeatedly ask them to stop charging my card every month when no one in my family has used them in YEARS and they refuse. The recurring charge is probably disclosed somewhere in fine print but was unknown to anyone in my family who used them
