Very Questionable Insurance Billing
I saw them a few weeks ago for a rash I was experiencing. It was the weekend and I didn't want to wait several days to get into my PCP. The Dr at one point said something like "I don't usually handle rashes". The website sure makes it seem like y'all handle this type of stuff so that made me uneasy. He did seem to find the proper diagnosis however and sent in prescriptions for me, and they worked. No complaints there. Today I wake up with an email from my insurance about a new EOB being ready. I log in and look, and plushcare billed my insurance for a 2nd office visit. I've not spoken to anyone from plushcare since my ONE visit, which was already billed and paid for. Reached out to them and they said it's for an annual health assessment that they perform to help the dr make customized recommendations to help me stay healthy and provide me with the best care. What's funny about this is I never authorized it, and they never provided me with these so called recommendations -- so I guess they decided i'm perfectly healthy and had no recommendations for anything I could be doing better? Their response was "are you concerned about owing for this? There's no charge to you for this!" -- BUT they did charge my insurance company. I didn't authorize this. I'll never use them again, and I will be reporting them to my insurance company for fraudulent billing practices.

Hi Donald, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I just wanted to clarify any confusion around the Annual Health Assessment. This questionairre is completed just after you would book and appointment and is optional. It is billed to your insurance as a telehealth assessment so you are not responsible for the costs as it is a preventative visit, which is mandated for coverage by the ACA.
