First I was offered a $25 health and wellness card for transferring my first Prescription which I did and I filled before I get to that I will continue on with that first Prescription that first Prescription took Amazon over a week to transfer correctly and another 3 to 4 days for it to ship I went four days without any blood pressure medication whatsoever. I called multiple times and barely got through and then I was denied the $25 gift card. They came up with some bogus answer. Why then I told him I wanted to transfer the prescription back to where they took it from and they want her to give me the runaround Amazon pharmacy is nothing more than a scam. Please avoid Amazon pharmacy at any and all cost look at all these one star reviews, they are true stay away from Amazon pharmacy.

Their algorithm is optimized to SHIP and SELL and MAXIMIZE REVENUE! I normally pay $10 with my insurance, but the auto-ship was set before the insurance renewal- charged $120 instead. When I called... "sorry, too bad, too sad." No returns or refunds possible. Instead, the blamed me for not having the settings right on the app. Whatever- going back to CVS where the experience is worse (but they use my insurance).

I expected Amazon Pharmacy to match the high standards of Amazon's other services, but this department clearly isn't ready. The experience has been incredibly frustrating. It required a call and chats with four different agents just to upload my prescription and confirm whether the medication is available.

Tried using the pharmacy and online MD for the first time. The first PA wrote a prescription that was 1/10 the strength of the desired dose. A second PA corrected it, but the wrong prescription was still sent to the pharmacy. As a result, I ended up with the wrong prescription and no willingness to send the correct one or take the wrong one back. Now, I’ve wasted my time wading through an online agent, a “pharmacy” agent with no pharmacy tech license, and now I’m stuck with a prescription that I have to dispose of. This all could have been avoided if the first PA paid attention and wrote the correct prescription. For errors and issues, please report them to your states pharmacy board. Not being connected with a licensed professional when the site claims that a licensed professional is available 24/7 is a major issue.

I checked Amazon Pharmacy to see if my Ozempic was cheaper than UHC Optum and it appeared to be. I was duped into transferring my prescription to Amazon and also gave them my provider information. My provider authorized the transfer on June 1, 2026. On June 2, 2026 Amazon REJECTED my prescription stating Amazon pharmacy is available on select insurance plans and my plan was not included. I 'jumped through hoops' to get to that point only to be rejected. Then I went into UHC and found my Ozempic missing. Not only did they transfer my Ozempic to them, they removed it from UHC. I had to call my provider to reinstate Ozempic on UHC Optum. All this effort on my part for NOTHING!

Talk about horrendous customer service! First of all, you can’t actually speak to anyone, communication is via chat which means you’ll be passed from one person who can’t answer your questions to the next in an agonizingly slow process. My doc sent an rx for a particular brand due to my allergic reaction to the generic. They sent a 3 month supply of the generic and then they refused to exchange for what my doc ordered. Had they cared enough to take a second to confirm what my doc clearly stated on the rx, I wouldn’t be having to now fight to get my insurance to override the 3 month supply. Convenience will never replace competence. Amazon Pharmacy fails big time and is willing to loose customers rather than right their wrongs.

I had a stroke in early June 2021 and couldn’t drive for 18 months. My partner worked full time and experienced challenges picking up my prescriptions since this was the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, in early 2022, Amazon pharmacy was a godsend. I could rely on timely shipments of my prescriptions to be delivered by UPS. Very occasional problems were quickly resolved by contacting customer service employing live persons. Everything was going fine, and I would receive email messages when it was time to initiate processing of refills. However, earlier this year, I learned a lot of what was great disappeared. I attempted to refill a prescription which was denied claiming without reason a refill was not possible until a date when my prescription had already run out and I would have had no daily pills to take. I tried using their 24-hour customer service and could tell I was communicating with so-called “articulate intelligence” and I got nowhere but just waisted my time. I then learned that I could talk to someone live, but only during 8-hour time periods specified and for only Monday through Friday. Again, a waste of an hou of my time and nothing changed. I then changed back to local pharmacies since I could again drive again to pick up my prescriptions, and have not experienced any problems since doing so. In sumnary, during the first years, Amazon Pharmacy was great, but with what I attribute to greed through cost- and customer service-cutting measures, they have severely deteriorated and now are the pits. If you sign up for them, be aware of this information in that if you experience a problem,you too will be stuck and unable to resolve those.

This was my first time using Amazon Pharmacy and they decided it would be a good idea to leave my expensive prescription medication on the ground OUTSIDE of my building where anyone could access. This is completely unacceptable and I will not use them a second time. If I can't trust their pharmacy to take care with the delivery and security of my prescription, I cannot in good faith utilize their pharmacy again.
