Incredible service!!! My pharmacy in Bend, Oregon was going to charge me $54 extra. I went online and xferred my current script. I got on the pharmacy chat with Amazon rep, Candace, she was then able to set up Teva as the drug comp, since I get side effects from other manufacturers. All my insurance info transferred to Amazon. Total bill was $0, which I usually paid in the past. Plus, the pharmacy order was shipped from Tacoma, Wash . . 24 hour turnaround from when I ordered online to delivery. Unbelievable! Thanks, Candace . . great service!!!

Amazon Pharmacy Has Earned My Business
I’m kind of surprised by the number of negative reviews here, although I also know people are generally much more likely to take the time to post about a bad experience than a good one.
I only recently switched to Amazon Pharmacy—about two months ago. I had used them once before when I was also using One Medical for telehealth, and I remember being genuinely surprised by how quickly my medications were delivered to my doorstep.
For years, though, I primarily used CVS.
I don’t want to pile on brick-and-mortar pharmacies, because I think most of the people working in them are probably good people trying to do their jobs in increasingly difficult environments. But despite the fact that my entire family has used the exact same CVS location for nearly two decades, there is absolutely no relationship there.
And maybe that’s simply where retail has gone. A lot of services that once felt relationship-oriented have become transactional. I don’t particularly like that, but I can live with it—as long as the transaction meets my expectations for speed, respect, access, and convenience.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience at CVS for years, and at this point I don’t really expect another giant brick-and-mortar pharmacy chain to be much different.
Amazon Pharmacy isn’t pretending to give me a personal relationship with a particular pharmacist or pharmacy technician, either. But what it does give me is 24-hour access to request medications and initiate transfers. If the AI assistant can’t answer my question—or I’m simply not satisfied with the answer—I can reach a customer service representative. And yes, I’ve even been able to chat with an actual pharmacist.
But one recent experience involving my husband is what really sold me.
He had a new prescription that was originally sent to our longtime retail pharmacy. We were told that our insurance wouldn’t cover it. So I went to the manufacturer’s website, downloaded their savings card, and resigned myself to paying $499 a month.
We later transferred the prescription to Amazon Pharmacy. When the price initially came back at more than $800, I thought something had gone wrong with the savings card.
So I started a chat.
I began with Amazon’s AI assistant. When it recognized that my question required more help, it transferred me to a customer service representative. She had already read the conversation, so I didn’t have to start all over again. She asked me just a few additional questions, investigated the issue, and then quickly connected me with a pharmacist.
The pharmacist was incredibly helpful. At one point I actually asked, “Do you want me to call the other pharmacy? What do I need to do?”
Instead of handing the problem back to me, he essentially said, “Let me see what I can do.” He asked whether I preferred a phone call or an email and told me I should hear something within a few hours.
A few hours later, I had my answer.
He had contacted our insurance company himself.
And here’s the remarkable part: the savings card wasn’t actually the problem. In fact, the prescription wasn’t simply “not covered,” as we had originally been told. The pharmacist identified the actual reason the insurance claim was rejecting and gave us the information we needed to go back to my husband’s healthcare provider.
His provider was then able to address the underlying issues and resubmit the authorization.
The medication was approved by our insurance for a full year.
Think about that for a minute. I went into that conversation trying to figure out how to get our cost down to $499 a month. I came out of it discovering that we shouldn’t have been paying $499 a month in the first place.
That experience probably sums up why Amazon Pharmacy is working so well for me.
No, I don’t have a personal relationship with “my pharmacist.” I couldn’t even tell you the name of the pharmacist who helped us that day. But when we actually needed a pharmacist—not simply someone to fill a prescription—one was available, investigated the problem, contacted our insurance company on our behalf, and took ownership instead of giving me another phone number to call.
If pharmacy service is going to be increasingly transactional anyway, I’ll take the transaction that gives me access, convenience, responsiveness and, when I really need it, an actual human being willing to help.

So glad I switched to Amazon Pharmacy
I used amazon pharmacy for the first time this month and was just amazed. I entered all my prescriptions via their website with ease. When I had a question because one of my meds did not have the right dosage on the screen, I called customer service and they were excellent. They found the right dosage for me checked my other prescriptions. They even explained how the whole process works moving my prescriptions from Walgreens. The lady did not end the conversation until she was sure that I had everything the way I wanted it and understood how it all worked. THE BEST PART! When I sent to order my prescriptions yesterday, I sat down at my computer placed my order at 4pm and the medication arrived at my door at 7:55pm, it was raining and the delivery person what sure to place my package in a dry place. I could never have done that with my local pharmacy in that time frame. NEVER! I am so happy that I moved over to Amazon for my prescriptions.

IAmazon Pharmacy Rocks. …
I was reluctant to use on online pharmacy after a terrible experience once before. The entire process was excellent/flawless. I'm a Prime member. Excelent Customer Service. Prices are good. Talked with Pharmacist Justin & Carlos, Customer Service. Took just a few hours for delivery. I do Legal Research for a living.

received my first Amazon Pharmacy
Just received my first Amazon Pharmacy delivery, and am VERY pleased with their service. Placed order yesterday, received confirmation that it was reviewed & approved by their pharmacist and shipped just 53 minutes after placing the order. Was delivered 28 hours and 6 minutes after ordering (I love in the boonies so I'm usually the tail end of delivery routes). Packaging was intact and well done- inside prime box was a foil lined paper bag containing two ice packs (that were still cold) and a large ziploc with my med bottles. No manufacturer bottles were sent - receiving manufacturer packaging is a pet peeve of mine - all bottles were of the same size which pleases my twitchy ocd. All meds were correct in medication, dosage and amount (a HUGE problem with my previous pharmacy) and I actually received the MDFSs for my meds!
A job very well done. Five brought golden shiny stars for Amazon Pharmacy.

Technology based pharmacy owned by…
Technology based pharmacy owned by Amazon, and run by Amazon's ecosystem.
To the review: I needed a refill of medical needed medicine for which I used the Costco Mail Pharmacy. Costco ran into a supply chain issue and told me to try Amazon for the medicine.
I was totally shocked on how easy it was to verify if Amazon had the medicine in stock by simply going into my account as a prime user with having setup the pharmacy side with an account. After all that setup I just typed in the name with the required amount and selecting the amount of days worth and hit search.
Real time return with we have it stock and price with insurance and price without. Before I did any other action since this medicine neccessary I called Amazon to verify it was instock and after that got an RX transferred over.
I couldn't be more shocked on how quick Amazon works. Took half day from the RX process of being transferred over to being allowed to order it with insurance.
Only issue is uploading the government ID as the image has to be really clear for verification. The filling and shipping took 24 hours.
Any other pharmacy online takes days to fill orders and uses the slowests shipping possible. Totally amazed with the Amazon Pharmacy would totally recommend.
Best part is shipping is free if a prime user with quick shipping.
