Arrive in good health, then quickly deteriorate
My fish always arrive seemingly fine, but then soon deteriorate. The longest I’ve ever kept one alive from this company was a month. Kind of disappointing when I have to pay $50+ in shopping alone for the fish to die shortly after. I’ve tried now four or five times and each time my fish die within a month of arrival, one after a mere four days. Tanks cycled, acclimated using the drip method, lights off for the first 24 hours, treated for disease and parasites, constant monitoring of parameters using liquid tests, and they still deteriorate swiftly, usually after the first week or two, then perish. HOWEVER, I realize that this could be largely attributed to shipping stress, as I live in an area with wide temperature swings daily and may not entirely be the fault of the company.
