I'll be honest; at first, I was a little suspicious of the fact that this random website I was unfamiliar with, with people I did not know, would be able to grant me a professional letter that would allow me to bring my dog with me when I moved out. My boyfriend and I were apartment searching, and nearly everything we found either did not allow dogs, had breed restrictions, or weight limits. A tough challenge, considering our dog is a 140 pound Malamute Akita mix, two breeds that tend to be heavily restricted due to their 'aggressive nature'. In truth, our dog is quite literally the definition of a gentle giant, and we weren't about to leave him behind, no matter what. When we learned what an ESA was, I knew that was our best bet. Truth be told, the entire reason we even got this dog in the first place was to help with our mental health and grief, and boy has he helped us. He has been our ESA since before we even knew what it was. At first, I wanted to go to my previous therapist to write him an ESA letter, but it had been years since I used her service and was unsure how to reconnect. Not to mention, we were needing to move soon, and I knew it could take a while just to schedule an appointment. I found Pettable simply by searching up ways to get your pet registered as an ESA. It was the first to pop up, so I looked the website over, liked what I saw, and gave it a shot! It truly was such a simple and easy process. I filled out a questionnaire about my situation and mental health and scheduled an appointment with a counselor to talk over the phone about it-which only took 15 minutes! The man I spoke with was extremely friendly, gentle, and made me feel at ease and walked me through every step and made sure I understood what we were doing. After he approved me for having an ESA, he emailed me the letter, which I simply emailed to my soon-to-be landlord, and I just got word back that the letter was approved. So all in all, I 100% recommend Pettable to anyone who may be in a similar situation to what I was in. Because of my decision to try this website out, I have saved myself and my boyfriend from so much stress and worry in regards to taking our little bear cub of a dog with us when we move out. Now I know for sure that I don't need to worry about being unable to stay with my dog simply because of his weight and breed. Thank you, Pettable!

If you are trying to decide which website or company to go with - please take my advice and choose Pettable to get your animal ESA! I had done a bunch of research on how to get my Labrador to become an ESA and had almost decided on a few different others. I am so grateful I went with Pettable because they actually made this official. I ended up going to an apartment recently which helped reassure the process that my Lab is an official ESA! My apartment said I had to provide legal and authentic documents (you have to have a letter from your counselor person which is what this whole process is!) stating the need for an ESA. The apartments proceeded to say that a certificate or tag or any of the “extra” documentations would not be doable as they are not legit/legal, I say this because many other websites said they would give these “extra” documents to make it “legal” and that my dog would be protected under law which would NOT be correct. I was able to get quick access to my extra forms for an additional cost through the app which was convenient not just for my apartment complex but also for my sake! Pettable was quicker than what was stated with getting back to me on getting an appointment set which made it easy! You also never have to overshare or feel like you need to be uncomfortable to make this process happen. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience as I have had PTSD, anxiety, depression, and insomnia after a traumatic car wreck. I plan to further get my Lab PSD certified as she gets older. I also plan to use Pettable to complete this process as well. Happily recommend! Thanks!
