Waste of Time
I felt embarrassed about sharing and opening up to my consultant, who deemed me ineligible to qualify for an ESA for my animals. It was frustrating to speak on emotions and trauma to this person, only for them to say that I need to specifically get a doctor to diagnose me with my mental health issues, for EACH dog that I wanted to register under ESA. I wish that this company disclosed that before even allowing me to pay for the service (although they do provide money back, it is just a waste of time,) that in order to even qualify for ESA you have to already have a doctors note or whatever saying you have these illnesses and should qualify for an ESA. Very disappointing, and a terrible experience for me.

Hi Areli, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear how frustrating and disappointing this process was for you, especially after having to open up about personal emotions and experiences. We understand that the eligibility requirements were not clear to you before beginning the process, and we sincerely apologize for that misunderstanding. We appreciate your feedback regarding the information on our website and will take it into consideration as we work to make our eligibility requirements clearer and more transparent. We’re also sorry that your experience left you feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable. Please know that our providers, including Jolene, are committed to approaching every evaluation with compassion and care. In your case, based on the information available during your consultation, she was unable to approve the ESA request because there was no documented mental health history or current treatment to support the need for an ESA. We truly appreciate you sharing your feedback and giving us the opportunity to better understand your experience. Warm regards, The Pettable Team
