Over promises and under performance
I ordered the Scale X Pro on 4-18 before 4 pm. My credit card was charged the same day. The company's website indicated that orders placed before 4 pm will ship the same day. 4-20 the order was still listed as "Processing" so I inquired and was informed that due to the success of their sale, shipping would be delayed another 1-3 business days. 4-28 I inquired again and the response was that the company was out of packaging material which was expected in 1-2 business days. 5-5 I inquired and the answer was that the scale was back-ordered and that their inventory would be fulfilled in 8-12 business days. By this time, the company had zero credibility in my eyes so I asked that the order be cancelled and my credit card be credited. I was told that would require 4-5 business days. 5-12 I asked about the status of the credit. 5-13 the response is that I would see the credit by the end of the day. 5-14 the credit was posted to my credit card account. I really wanted this scale because it purportedly provides an accurate and complete body analysis and comes with a lifetime warranty. Based on my experience I would strongly question the accuracy claim and I doubt the company will be in business if I should have ever needed to avail myself of the warranty. I suggest that they remove the same day shipping claim from their website. I, also, suggest that they learn to under promise and over perform. If I had been told up front that the scale would not ship for 2 months, I would have grumbled but I would have waited for it. However, after having been strung along with a variety of excuses, I do not believe anything I am told by their customer service personnel. I don't know how they can operate in this manner and remain in business. It is a shame.
