Clean design, simple workflow, increases productivity
I've tried several automated transcription and summarizing tools before settling on Otter. One thing I appreciate about Otter is its straightforward approach - no unnecessary information is included, just clear transcriptions and summaries that are easy to access. I also like the clean design of the tool itself. The experience has been simple and intuitive, which has made it a great fit for our team's needs. Adoption has been straightforward - no training required on the tool (we can focus on expectation setting with team and clients). While the quality of transcription and summarization can be hit-or-miss at times, I've noticed it's improving - a common challenge with AI-powered tools. The transcription in general is 95% accurate and the automated actions are usually spot on. Linking to Slack to auto-share internal notes is also quite good. Our team has been using Otter for about six months now, and we've seen several benefits: it's improved productivity, allowed us to focus more on active listening during meetings rather than taking notes, and made it easier to find relevant information in the past. On my wishlist - a Notion integration, ability to customise the bot title (when it comes into a call to better position it with clients), but these are not dealbreakers. I want to note that this review was prompted by a promotion Otter. My feedback is entirely honest and reflects our team's genuine usage of the platform.
