i have the free version and while the speech to text is not perfect even when using a microphone it is the best voice and transcript program i have found so far. also suggest if you are recording while driving set the setting to data saving mode, it seems to do better rendering.

I've used otter.ai for several years now and I'm a total convert. As a freelance writer, I've tried several transcription services. A couple I stuck with even though I wasn't completely happy with the results. I figured I just had to work with often crazy interpretations of what was being said in interviews I recorded or portions that inexplicably dropped out altogether. Then I heard about otter.ai in a writer's group I belong to and the difference has been night and day. Being a visual person, I love that I can see the words being said in an interview scrolling onto my screen as they're being said. I also love that I can highlight passages I know I will reference later as I'm writing an article as well as quotes I will incorporate. It's great that I can organize my interviews into folders when I'm working on big projects.Over the past year or so, I've noted otter.ai becoming smarter too - summarizing my interviews, highlighting salient points and even assigning them titles. I can't imagine how I got by before discovering otter.ai. It's boosted my productivity and made my working life so much easier!

I am writing this review as part of a promotion from Otter. Overall, I have been using it for over 2 months and I have recommended it to all my colleagues. I like it because it provides different ways to see a meeting note, from the summary to a transcript with pictures and even if you forgot you registered for a meeting because it is synchronized with your calendar you will still get the notes :D It also transcribes very well (specially for different language accents, it is helpful) One of the down sides, is that it does not identify the speaker's name in the transcript. So, unless you were in the meeting and then read the notes, you are able to reconstruct who said what.

Otter.ai is wonderful. I was having trouble keeping up with my note taking during Zoom meetings and was recommended to try Otter.ai and they solved my problems. Was able to record the Zoom meetings and then download that recording into Otter.ai to have it translated. WOW so much easier and faster getting my notes out. Otter.ai is able to separate out different people, just be careful, some words are not what was said.

I first started using Otter just for transcription of sales calls and customer interviews, and it works great. But with the AI copilot it's become a major part of my deal process. I ask it to pull key points, recaps etc. The summaries and action points could be improved slightly but overall it's a great little tool
