I like Otter since it has made my work easier and after the double transaction was made from my account i was refunded and Julia took her time to explain the package i purchased. What i didnt like is the system automatically deduct from my card without my consent for the double payment. Can you generate a way to inform customers if it wants to deduct payment for the second time without automatically deduct.

I've been using OtterAI for almost a year. Even though by now it should be able to identify the usual speakers (less than 20), but it doesn't always. Even though the speakers' voices are very different, it sometimes mashes people together or separates one person's continuous speaking into separate lines of 2 or 3 words. I updated this review after buying TurboScribe. Although otter is less than perfect, Turboscribe is much worse. Gave me perspective. Otter will start to identify speakers over time and does summaries. TurboScribe does none of that. Turboscribe doesn't see rate speakers. But you will have to do lots of editing. I submitted a ticket as Otter requested as only fair, but I don't think Otter can change how it works. And I don't think I'll be renewing when it expires next week. Will go back to transcribing on my own. I'm think otter will get better, but I'm guessing with the increasing energy costs of AI it will be unaffordable to me. Is pretty steep now for what I use it for as a volunteer on Social Security!

Support was frustrating. We had two users for a while and it worked well. When we added a third user, who was not admin, all recordings would go only to his account and we had to get him to release each back to us. BIG PROBLEM. But they would only email for two months. We spent hours documenting and trying to fix the problem with emails. After 20 or so email exchanges, someone on their side figured out what a new user was able to change to take over all meetings. Bad design, bad service. Now it is resolved. Otter shows up well and is easy to manage. It makes excellent notes. Lots of features. As far as we can tell, we can not export the summary, only the raw recording. I will ask about this and expect they will send a generic email response with massive help files. We support our software by listing to what the user asks, knowing our software, and responding with specific instructions if not fixing the problem from our side. Product is a 4. Support is a 2.

I enjoy the service that otter.ai provides, although there are a few major drawbacks: - AI chat frustratingly exaggerates what you get for your money. Continuously claiming that it can help edit transcriptions to clean up conversations when I asked Customer Support who have confirmed it has no such functionality, was something I discovered after a month of use. Very annoying! - Attributing ends of sentences to the next speaker in many calls, even with an appreciable pause. For example, person A saying "How are you?" and person B replying "I'm fine, thanks" usually appears in otter.ai transcripts as person A saying "How are" and person B replying "you. I'm fine thanks" or similar. This is the sort of thing where I'd expect AI to be able to help clean it up, and because the bot actually can't physically do anything to transcripts, I'm spending a lot of time manually dealing with these, or even asking other AI to do it (ChatGPT does it reasonably well). Otter should really be on top of this. Overall, a solid 3 stars. It saves time, and I'm OK with the service, but it's not as good as advertised.

I love Otter.ai because it seamless captures transcribe in English and easy to use. I like that I can export the transcribe, adjust to forward and rewind based on words through the transcribe. However, it does not quite capture the words if it is not clear especially if it doesn't come from a native speaker. Also would appreciate if it can transcribe other languages like Malay, Mandarin and Japanese. Also, as I am a journalist, I am always on the go, and would appreciate if this app can really offer something affordable for subscription (I am a government servant, and don't earn that much as private and corporate staff) as sometimes I use it often, and sometimes i don't use it all.

Fraudsters. I paid an annual subscription. Then it automatically added my family members and recharged more fees without my authorisation. I am currently now going through the hassle of a payment dispute. Don't give these clowns your credit card details Edit: i got my money back from Otterai so i feel a bit better. However the system for adding others to your account needs to change its very misleading and feels its been purposely set up that way. The service tbf is okay quite useful but change your selling practices

It also Provides an automatic summary of the audio, saving time on reviews. **Cons:** Accuracy Issues with Accents:Struggles with diverse accents, non-native speakers, and even some native English speakers with slight variations. I had several two-hour recording of someone speaking English with an accent, and the transcriptions were full of errors. It took me several hours to edit, and in the end, I had to abandon the editing process. The duration of the task was lengthened because I had to stop, pause, and start the recording manually for each incorrect transcription with my hands. A professional human transcriber would have the proper tools to make this process much easier. Expensive Paid Plans: Full features require pricey subscriptions. Recording Limitations: Despite the £130 annual cost , paid plans restrict users to a maximum of 90 minutes per recording and 1200 minutes per month, which is insufficient for me, with my average lectures being two hours. Cumbersome Error Correction: While users can edit transcriptions to correct errors, as mentioned above the process is not convenient or smooth. Lack of Human Transcription Option: No option to have inaccurate transcriptions reviewed and corrected by human transcribers, which would be valuable given the price point. Pricing: The paid plan costs £130 per year, which may be steep considering the recording limitations and lack of human transcription options. **Overall:** Otter.ai offers a robust set of features including real-time transcription, organizational tools, and advanced AI capabilities like chat and automatic summaries. These additions significantly enhance its value for content analysis and review. However, accuracy issues with diverse speech patterns, recording limitations, and the lack of smooth error correction options pose significant challenges, especially considering the price point. It excels for users working primarily with standard English speakers and shorter recordings but may frustrate those dealing with varied accents, non-native English speakers, or those needing to transcribe longer or more frequent recordings. Improvement needed: Increased recording limitations. I have Lectures that are two hours long, in order to record those, as a student I would need a business plan. Improve accuracy issues with diverse accents, or/and Implement a feature where people can request a human transcriber to edit recordings. Recommendation: Users requiring high accuracy across diverse speech patterns, a service with human transcription might be more suitable than otter.

No response from customer service and have been unable to access account for 4 days impacting my business. Put in a ticket 4 days ago and no response. Somehow 2fa became required but I never got an option to set it up and now I can’t access my account and recordings!! UPDATE: 5/30/24 Otter.ai customer support reached out and addressed my support issue. Thank you Otter.ai!
