Nick's BuildingReviews of nicksbuilding.com

The doors are nice but too far to long to receive (over 2 months). Once received, 1 door wasn't drilled for the door knob and was missing the jamb kit. Some minor damage/scratches to doors due to crating/shipping.

This was my third mahogany door purchased from Nick's. There was a difference in the stain color from the first order to this order. But Nick's stepped up and sent a truck to pick up the door, refinish it and deliver it in record timer. This is customer service at its finest. The door is extremely well made and makes the old house look better than new

The door I ordered finally arrived, and is in excellent condition, stained the way I wanted, no cracks nor problems-----but, it took FOREVER to get here-----. I started the ordering process in mid-December, 2016, and, it arrived, today, February 28, 2017, over two months later----. Yes, I know,------the Christmas holidays, and the fire they had at their factory, and the staining of the door, played a role in the SLOW delivery, so I have to be reasonable, but, the process, itself, was daunted with some lack of communication with the various persons I spoke with during this time frame. It WAS frustrating, but, the finished product is excellent------.

Ordering and getting dates means little. And delivery is just ridiculous. Use someone else

Service was very good. I would have like an email of when production started with an expected completion date, and then when it will ship. Arrived packaged very well. Beautiful door, picture on the Internet did not do it justice.

This is exactly what we were looking for.

I am very pleased with my purchased from Nick's of the SW70 Alder wood door with calves, straps and speakeasy. This was a perfect selection for the wine cellar I constructed in our basement area. Nick's also provided me with a gallon of matching stain which I used for the all the doors and trim in the adjoining family room and wine bar area. The door was of exceptional quality and I would recommend Nick's highly.

The order was delayed by more than a month. The stain samples took weeks to be shipped. At the end, the door is different color than the stain sample we chose. The Speakeasy is impossible to open and close. Otherwise, the door looks good.
