I was a long time business customer of Monoprice. Deleting product reviews immediately after posting is not acceptable. The review I left was fair. Monoprice failed at multiple contact points to positively resolve the situation and the product itself was flawed. The following review was deleted almost immediately: I was shipped a mismatched set of speakers. In the box was one MM-5R and one MM-5. It took Monoprice 5 days to respond to any of my contact attempts. By the time Monoprice reached out to me, this item was no longer in stock and replacement speakers would not be available for about 3 months. The rep seemed uninterested in setting up my account to make sure I could re-buy them at the sale price, so I opted to just return the units at that point. The slow response time, lack of back stock to resolve customer issues, and lazy support reps has really disappointed me as a long time Monoprice customer. In the 5 days of ownership, I did enjoy the use of my new Frankenstein speaker setup. The only noticeable cheap aspect of this set was the provided speaker wire. It looked and felt so cheap that I decided to use my own 12 gauge wire with Monoprice banana plugs. I like that both speakers use 5 way binding posts and not some proprietary connection. I primarily used the optical connection, but the USB, RCA, and Bluetooth all worked flawlessly. The selector light on the front is perfect, on but not blindly bright. The highs were cleaner and more detailed on the MM-5R versus the MM-5. The bass was surprisingly good for this set, especially considering their size and price. The MM-5R has one crippling flaw that makes them unusable as a desktop speaker. We all know that powered speakers have a hiss, but these are obnoxiously loud. They hiss, hissss, HIIIISSS, HIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! At over 3 feet away, I can hear them howling. Ran on a separate circuit with a Tripp-Lite line conditioner, the MM-5R still spewed forth a vile hate of silence. Notice I said the MM-5R, the silk dome MM-5 was much quieter. I had to literally place my ear next to the MM-5 speaker to hear the hiss. I am not sure if this is because this speaker was the amp less unit or if it was due to the silk dome, but if I was to purchase again I would gamble on the dome tweeter and not the ribbon. Even if both speakers had arrived matched, I would have returned these speakers due to the hiss issue.

I am very pleased to say the issue I had written a negative review on has been resolved. Monoprice has taken care of the problem, and I am very satisfied with the communication that I received. I will very confidently purchase from Monoprice moving forward. David Barnhardt

UPDATE 2/20/2021: As happens with most 3D printers, the extruder nozzle can get clogged from time to time. The nozzle for the Voxel is particularly difficult to unclog, and you can only get replacement nozzles from Monoprice at a cost of about $24 each before shipping. While I was working to unclog my original nozzle that came with the printer, which after using several 0.4mm cleaning pins and a 0.4mm drill bit (ordered separately) has still not worked, I ordered a second nozzle so I could continue printing while I try to figure out how to unclog the original one. Shockingly, the new nozzle that I ordered directly on the Monoprice website turned out to not only be used, but it was already clogged! On my first attempt to print with it, I could not even load the filament. I inserted a cleaning pin into the heated nozzle and out came a blob of purple filament (the one I was planning to use was silver, so I know it was not my filament in the nozzle at this point). MONOPRICE, I have e-mailed you at the address you provided below and will update this review appropriately to the outcome. Original post 1/9/2021: I received the Monoprice Voxel 3D printer as a gift for Christmas. Right out of the box, it would not connect to my WiFi, so I went to the Monoprice website to look for support. They provide instructions for WiFi but offer no help if it does not work. They do not provide phone support, and their support line says they offer online chat, but I cannot find anywhere on their website with a chat option. So, I used their Contact Us form. I explained that the WiFi connection is not working and provided them with the model, serial number, and firmware version. I did not receive an e-mail confirmation that my submission was accepted. It is now January 9, 2021, and I have not received any response. I found a firmware update on their website and downloaded it. I followed the instructions for installing it precisely, but the printer does not recognize the update file. I submitted a second Contact Us request, again providing the printer model, serial number, and firmware version, but like the first request, I did not receive an e-mail confirmation and have not heard back anything. The only saving grace about this product, which is probably competitive with others in its class, is that I can print objects from a USB stick, and the printer seems to be relatively speedy and accurate. I see that others have prompted a response to their issues by posting to Trustpilot, so I am giving this a try as a last resort. If I cannot resolve my issues, I will have a printer that cannot connect to WiFi or receive firmware upgrades. If there is no way to reach Monoprice, how would I even return the printer if I wanted to? If it is a defective unit, I would absolutely want a replacement. UPDATE 1/12/2021: One day after posting this review on TrustPilot, I was contacted by Monoprice Customer Service and had a phone call with a technician. He provided me with some additional information, and pointed me to a firmware update on their website (which had recently been posted). The firmware update installed correctly, and I was then able to configure and connect to my WiFi. The next day, the technician provided me with an additional file to update the printer so that it would maintain its MAC address (and thus IP address) between power cycles (a common complaint is that the MAC address changes every time the printer is turned on, so you cannot ever set a predictable IP address on your network). He also gave me instructions for accessing the printer's camera from my browser. So, now everything is working even better than expected. I only wish all of these instructions and files were made available on their website so I did not have to wait for support. Kudos to the technician who was very patient and helpful!

3 week earlier i order 2 cables im from Canada and i dont have any response from someone... I emailed Monoprice about 2-3 time no response. On the website the API tracker dont even work. Since the 25 december the tracker didn't move on UPS or USPS. After contacting monoprice they send back a replacement.

The goods I ordered arrived and they were fine, but their shipping/tracking software is comically stupid, to the point of being more destructive than helpful. I ordered something a few weeks ago that was delayed (fine, it's the holidays), then on the morning of the 31st their web site told me it wouldn't arrive on the 30th or 31st (??? but fine), then I found it that morning outside of the door of my locked building (not fine). I then double-checked the tracking and it hadn't changed yet. I ordered another something earlier this week. After a short delay it told me it would arrive on Friday. I checked it Thursday and it said it would now be arriving next week. I walked through my mail room that afternoon and found it sitting there. Just double-checked the tracking site, still says it's projected to arrive next week. In both cases, their tracking page shows a map with icons on it as though it's going to give you real-time updates, it never updates.

Ordered the products from their website with 1 business day shipment. After a week I got an email that my whole order was cancelled.

Ordered two Obsidian speed plus power banks to use with my Dell XPS17. While they work, they provide less than half of the stated battery capacity in mAh. The Dell power bank I already own is rated at 30% less capacity but lasts way longer. Would not purchase again.

I had a bit of a snafu with a desk I purchased. It's a bit of a long and boring story, but basically, there was something wrong, customer service wasn't able / willing to help me. Incredibly frustrated and ready to burn Monoprice to the ground, I found TrustPilot, where I saw this guy responding a lot and posting his escalations email address. Reached out, and he called me within the hour to make things right and beyond. Amazing. Unfortunately sometimes their customer service has their hands tied on what they can do (and understand about the business process). However, this experience made me appreciate Monoprice even more. I'd much rather spend money at businesses like this than Amazon. I never go on websites like Trustpilot and write reviews, but I felt compelled to let everyone know about my positive experience with Monoprice. Before you write a nasty review, make sure you try reaching out to escalations to see if they can help.
