bought the insulate padded Stella Jacket in January 2021. Its a beautiful jacket, but after 2 weeks of wearing it, the inside started pilling everywhere, it looked awful! I contacted Tanya at the Vancouver shop, and she was amazing. She immediately apologized and offered to send me the exact same Stella jacket that i fell in love with, but the fleece lined version instead. She told me to keep the defective jacket, and didn't even charge for the difference in price (the fleece lined is slightly more expressive than the padded version). Both jackets are gorgeous, made with high quality materials and they are both 100% water and wind proof. Without a doubt the best jacket I've ever owned! I will definitely be purchasing more from Mia Melon un the future Thank you so much Tanya and the Vancouver store, you guys made my day

Stellar customer service via text when I asked to change an order I’d already placed. I got an Everglades coat (one of the raincoats with a light fleece lining) and it is the perfect weight coat for an upper Midwest fall and spring. I would say the temp ratings on the website are spot-on. I was between a M and L (I usually wear an 8-10, depending on brand/style) so I sized up, which turned out to be fine, but a little big. I will probably layer wool sweaters underneath so it’s fine, but if you’re between sizes and don’t plan to layer up, then size down.

I was a little nervous about ordering from Mia Melon because I wasn't familiar with the brand. I also had an issue with the checkout that resulted in me placing an order 3x and then was worried that the site was a scam. After more research, I saw other positive reviews and a bricks and mortar store. I texted the rep, Tanya, who promised to refund the duplicate orders. To my surprise, the jacket arrived in less than 3 days. It is stunning. Modern styling (as nice as lululemon) and great fit. I am so happy I took a chance on this company! I will absolutely buy from them again.

[EDIT: 2/18/2021] I did finally hear back from someone after trying one more attempt. The correct answer for Customer Service is to use their text number, it was the only way I got to speak with someone. They explained they could get me coat shipped by Friday (8 business days after the order), but shipping times to me are 3-5 days. Given the weather and USPS slow-downs, I asked about expedited shipping, understanding I'd need to pay for it and they were happy to get that set-up. I'm holding my breath to get the coat (or even the shipping confirmation), but I feel MUCH better having spoken to someone. Will update again when the coat is received. ------------------------------------------------------- I placed an order for an in-stock coat on 2/9/2021. I had received no shipping information after several days. Per the Shipping page on their site: "Update Feb.09th, 2021~ Our warehouse ships Monday to Friday. Orders are shipping out NEXT DAY from order placement and you should receive your order between 1-2 days (West coast), 2-3 days (Mid USA) and 3-5 (East Coast) 1-12 days (Canada- shipping times will vary dependent if we have stock in Canada or USA) and 12 to 21 days (International) after your order is placed. Please note: Our warehouse is closed on National holidays and weekends." I was concerned that there was still no shipping info, so I reached out the following ways: 2/15/2021 11:48am ET - Reached out via Chat, described as the "fastest method" on their site. No response. 2/16/2021 2:00p ET - Reached out via the Chat again, hoping to prompt a response - nothing, even though the chat bot states "You'll receive a response within 24 hours!" 2/17/2021 12:01p ET - Attempted to reach out via the phone number included in my confirmation email. No response and there is NO VOICEMAIL OPTION. 2/17/2021 12:10p ET - Attempted the website chat option. Again - no response. At this point, it has been 11 days, my order hasn't shipped and I have heard NOTHING, despite REPEATED attempts to contact Mia Melon. I'm moving from a warm climate to the PNW and have no coat - I did extensive research before deciding on the coat I ordered, including checking the company's posted shipping times, and now may not receive it by the time I move (March 1st). I've contacted via their preferred channels. I have waited the amount of time they state they'll respond in.

This rating is driven by the customer service and product shipment delay I experienced. I ordered a winter coat from Mia Melon in October. It was a "pre-order" and was delayed shipment to November. Once I finally received the coat, I realized the coat did not fit and they had shipped the incorrect size (I ordered a medium, they sent a large). I tried contacting Mia Melon through all their available customer service channels (Chat on website and email) and did not receive a response for a full month. When they finally did contact me, i received a non-descriptive text message from an unknown phone number. In responding to them, I was able to get a return authorization to get a refund for my coat and they indicated I would be refunded in 5-7 business days. Even though they sent me the wrong size, I had to pay for my own return shipping out of pocket ($14) to send the coat back to them. After it was confirmed delivered, I reached out 3 separate times to get a confirmation of the return. I got no response via email nor text message. I ended up checking their website and I found their responses were going to a chat box on their website and not directly to me. I have never experienced this gap in communication with an online retailer before. Upon finally connecting with them, they indicated it would be 5-7 WEEKS to get a refund. I finally ended up disputing this charge with my credit card company once I had confirmation that my return delivery had been received. $14 out of pocket for delivery fees and now almost 4 months later, I got my money back. DO NOT waste your time taking a gamble on an order with this company. Customer service is unacceptable and while you may receive a coat you end up liking, if anything goes wrong in the process you're simply out of luck.

I ordered 2 coats in different sizes, one for me and one as a gift. The initial order was quite delayed however, Mia Melon was responsive to my inquiries and provided status updates. When they arrived, both jackets were beautiful and are clearly well made. The one I purchased as a gift was unfortunately too small and again Mia Melon was incredibly helpful arranging an exchange, recommending good alternatives because the original coat style was out of stock. Even shipped quickly to the recipient (different address than the original order). Even given the initial delays, I value customer service provided.

I currently own 3 Mia Melon coats and a weatherproof Mia Melon tote bag, and I love them all. My first purchase was the Everglades, a fleece-lined mid-weight rain jacket, in deep teal. I saw it at a little boutique in the Seattle airport while passing through, and I fell in love instantly. I receive compliments on this jacket every single time I wear it. It is such a rich and gorgeous color, with a very flattering fit that is very true to size (their size charts are totally accurate), and in addition to looking great, it is actually weatherproof! My most recent purchase was the Stella, an insulated heavy-weight coat in eggplant (I am vegan, so I opted for the non-wool version). I was so excited when they added this winter coat option to their offerings. As with the deep teal, the eggplant color is rich and beautiful, and the coat is warm and weatherproof without feeling too heavy like some winter coats do. I simply adore it. Aside from the quality of their products, what makes this company so wonderful is their outstanding customer service. Any challenges that I have encountered with my previous purchases have been handled with great professionalism and genuine warmth and kindness. I cannot say enough good things about Mia Melon. I am so excited to have discovered them, and I look forward to many more years of stylish comfort here in the rainy Pacific Northwest thanks to their flattering and functional products. The rain jacket was awesome - absolutely perfect. And they were so, so responsive on an urgent return/exchange. AND the deep blue is a beautiful color. A great product, great company. LOVE!
