Great product! Love my coat: warm, stylish, versatile and not very restrictive! I wear it daily and love every minute of it. I especially like that their coats come in fun colors! Overall, great purchase and customer service is great! Only small negative, water proof for rain but not if submerged so likely would get wet in a persistent downpour, but this isn't surprising to me: it is fabric afterall, not a tarp.

After waiting a month to receive two coats (with no response to my attempts to ascertain delivery status), I finally received my items only to have the fit not work with either coat. I reached out to process the return the same day they were received but after 18+ days, there’s been no response. Incredibly disappointing experience for what looked to be such a promising company.

In love with my new coat! I got the Hailey, insulated wool for horrible long MN winters. The weight is lovely. I am 5’4, 140lbs and ordered the medium to fit a sweater underneath. I only just got it so I can’t speak to the longevity. Communication is slow, it’s a small company, but persistence and patience helped. I received the maroon coat but requested to exchange it for the grey because the material does attract hair and lint very badly. The grey hides it much better than the red. They shipped my replacement quickly before I even sent in my return and were always very kind and professional in their communications. They answered all my questions and were very helpful. I was worried about ordering from them based on negative reviews but very glad I did. I would say definitely order, but expect slow communication and just be patient with a small company.

I ordered two Mia Melon jackets in early 2021. The Chloe Trench was fabulous for one season of wear, then the zipper stopped functioning well and the shoulder seams started coming apart. The lining fabric in the Stella Insulated Rain Jacket is terrible. After just a handful of wears the insulation was poking through in hundreds of spots. Still, I loved the look Mia Melon's jackets and when I was in the market for a lightweight rain shell for a trip I was taking in October 2022, I ordered another Mia Melon coat. The website states that orders go out within 3-5 days. After not receiving a shipping notice after this timeframe had passed, I reached out 3 times by email and text to check the status of my order. I did not receive a single response or update, the order eventually shipped much later than promised without a word from Mia Melon. This will be my last purchase from this company for sure.

I had to facilitate an exchange of a coat as I got the wrong size. The customer service was extraordinary (thank you Tanya) getting back to my e-mail on a holiday and facilitating everything very quickly. The coat is an exceptional quality. Thanks!

Backers who were charged for coats during the Kickstarter campaign that ended on 04/26/2021 have still not had their coats delivered, and nobody from the company is taking any actions to update backers, refund them, or fulfill the goods that they had sold via the crowdfunding site. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and received no response. Edit (03/01/2023) Below, someone from Mia Melon said that CS had gotten back to me about my missing reward. I have not received any such correspondence from their customer service team. The last time I was in contact with someone from Mia Melon was on October 7, 2022. They said that they would “still ship but also offer you some store credit compensation for the delay - CS will reach out to you from here”. They have since blocked me from that Facebook messenger chat and from leaving comments on their Facebook posts.

Tanya in CS did respond to Steve's email on 12/22, as reported here, with questions about the return, which he answered immediately. But he has not yet received the authorization to return the order. That Steve is about to leave town and might have to travel with this package isn't really Mia Melon's fault, but prompt response would preclude this absurd exercise.
