Not good at scheduling
I ordered a stairlift from MedMart and was told it would take 2 weeks before they could install it as they were backed up. Fair enough, as labor seems to be hard to find. The installers came on the day & time that was agreed upon and began the installation that was to be approximately 2 hrs. The 2 hrs came and went, and the install wasn’t complete. The technicians had made several calls for help but were not able to correct the problem, I was told that the charging board wasn’t making contact with the power strips on the rail. Two men spent a total of 5 ½ hrs. and decided that it needed a new charging board, something that they normally had a spare of on the truck but had not brought that day. I was told that they had other jobs to get to and had to leave to get them done. They couldn’t say when they could get back but maybe Monday. This was Thursday. I was also informed that one of them was going on vacation starting Friday. After they had left, one of them called me back and said it would be Monday possibly before anyone could get back. Not satisfied, I called the office in Cincinnati and asked to speak with the installation supervisor, but he was not in. I left a message for him to call me back as soon as he got the message. 24 hrs later I received a call from a new technician who told me that he would not be able to make it here today (Friday). I asked him to have his supervisor to call me immediately. He did call me back an hour later. Monday sometime is as soon as they will be able to complete the job. Four days later. OK, 3. I would not ask them to work on a Sunday. If this is the way they treat new customers, I am not looking forward to having them back for any other type of service. What ever happened to the custom in customer? Why does the customer have to bow to the service provider? Basically, I am being asked to change my schedule to correct for their inability to provide a service that I paid for. There are too many monopolies in the service industry
