I've had this medical guardian for a couple of weeks now and I have had 3 or 4 false alarms. So far I have been lucky that I was within hearing distance of the base unit and was able to keep an ambulance from being dispatched. I don't like all of these false alarms. The people I talked to through the base station say that maybe I accidentally hit the button. I am sure that was not the case. If I continue to get false alarms maybe they will send me a new button to see if that will correct my problem.

We provided the Medical Guardian system for my mother (85) as a Christmas gift. The system arrived swiftly, was easily set up, tested and completed. She is wearing the pendant and has her wrist alarm on her nightstand. We live several hours away and feel much better having taken this step for her safety. We researched a number of systems and chose Medical Guardian for a variety of reasons relating to alarm range, system options, cost and professionalism.

No instructions whatsoever came with the wristband device. We did not know if the battery was already loaded, how to use it, etc. We found that it was already activated by pressing the button, whereupon the monitoring service called. There was no self-help information on the website either. Despite these frustrations, they were very courteous and helpful on the phone when we called to activate the service, though it was not clear why the activation step was necessary. Again, better printed instructions would be appreciated.

Haven't had the need to use it yet but feel better knowing it is always with me.

I haven't gotten my medical alert yet, I ordered it November and was told it would take 7-10 days. Well people it's almost the middle of January and I still don't have it. They don't have a contact number to get a hold of them and I would like them to contact me at 541-643-3087. I am cery disappionted with them.

I had another company with the "necklace" and it drove me absolutely CRAZY. It went "off" about six or seven times and I NEVER touched the button. They would call and ask if I was OK, and I never pushed the button. They did not have the wrist button and by switching, I got the wrist button and saved $10.00 per month...........and it has the GPS. Best move that I could have made. Have not taken the wrist band off at all because you can use it while doing just about everything and it is waterproof.
