Shady Handling Fees
I purchase a lot of furniture for various projects, so I know a good deal about fees, shipping costs, shipping times, etc. Now, while I'll give them a little bit of room for shipping times (the people in Viet Nam who are making your furniture only start making it once you order it because they don't want to carry any inventory), what is completely unacceptable is the B.S. handling fee. Absurd. A $200 handling fee for a desk? Make sure you add that to the price in your head. A $50 handling fee for a rattan side table? Come on! It's one thing if the item is a one-off extremely difficult to ship or extremely heavy item, but they just slap this fee on everyone. It's nonsense and shady as can be. Don't fall for it. There are a million places you can buy similar pieces that are cheaper and have no 'handling fees'. They should frankly be ashamed of themselves.

Hi Matt! Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. We apologize for the frustration here. Our handling fee covers the costs associated with contracting a third party private carrier to insure, handle, inspect, protect, and ship each freight piece. This fee also often includes additional packaging to ensure your pieces arrive in perfect condition. In any case, we will relay your feedback to the appropriate teams to ensure we're making improvements as needed.
