Martie.com is a convenient and easy place to find great prices on all sorts of things. I keep my pantry filled by checking out what they have available. It’s a treasure hunt of great deals on really good stuff.

Compared to my other shopping sources, I broke even or paid more. Candles, health/beauty, perfumes I had to pass by—even with discounts they were quite expensive, and are steeply marked up items to begin with. The shipping was slower than my other sources; I was hit with a shipping surcharge at checkout, though my cart qualified for “free shipping.” 3 items (momofuku noodles) were expired (by over a month), one item was missing. I received a refund for the missing item only. I got a good price on my favorite tomatoes but was limited to 3 cans. Remaining foods were within a month, or two, of expiration. I’m not a fan. With all the choices I have for pantry items and health/beauty, adding a Martie haul makes little sense. The shipping surcharge was unique to my shopping universe and damaged trust. In the write-up I read, the momofuku noodles were buzzy, and seem to have been offered for quite some time, despite Martie’s weekly, ever-changing offerings. There’s a real discount, but those were my expired items and the product is indeed different from what’s available in stores. Martie warns this may apply. Different number in pack, different ounces of product, more calories and fat per serving. I think if Martie had responded to issues with good faith, I’d keep an eye on future offerings, but in the first outing they didn’t show interest. Maybe when they launched they had better prices and service. I received CS that couldn’t compete with Amazon. I’m bummed to say that. I’d love to shed my Amazon relationship, and have cut back a lot, but I receive responsive, real-human help from them when it’s needed. Same with my other health food and warehouse sources. They are good options, with faster shipping, competitive pricing (in these v tough times), no surcharges, and *fresher foods*.

I enjoy Martie as a way to try new food and personal care products without paying full price. Website design is an overall pleasurable shopping experience. Advertised as "green" by finding a second market for overstock goods- due to shipping energy expense however, this is probably more true if you live on the west coast where they are based.

I love the deals I find on Martie! Some items are closer than others to the expiration date, but the savings on high end products is worth making sure it doesn’t sit around to long before consumed. I have also found items for the home and it’s always such a great deal. Hope they keep expanding and growing. Let’s keep working towards less waste in the world!

I love the variety of foods they have and I try products I would normally not just go buy otherwise. They have reasonable prices, service is great, delivery is quite quick, items are packaged in sturdy boxes so produtcs come intact, and I get to help save products that would go to waste. I also love the new surprise boxes. Have gotten several and for the most part we love every single item. The chocolate fig bars are the biggest surprise and were the best.

I love Martie because it has products and brands I already know and trust (at a discount!) but also lets me explore and try new brands with a price that's more approachable. We've found lots of new brands and products through Martie, and we also love snagging our favorites for huge discounts. Shipping has always been secure (no broken jars or damaged items) and on-time. I've placed more than a dozen orders now.
