Horrible experience. They sent me two wrong items and have totally ignored my emails, despite promising to make things right over email in their policy. I will be reporting to the FTC and doing a chargeback. Pathetic company. Non-existent customer service. The items they scammed me over are less than $10. Stupid way to lose all of my future business and that of my friends that I could have referred. Update: I did get a refund after emailing the employee that responded to the review. But it should not have taken a bad review to get help. They ignored numerous emails for over a week, before I finally got help. Needs serious improvement.

I have done multiple shipments with Martie, and haven't had any problems. I have expensive tastes, and a limited budget. Martie really helps with that problem. Most of items I buy would be unaffordable if I didn't buy at a deep discount. I do check the prices for the items on Amazon, and confirm that the items do sell for a much higher price on other websites. I recently purchased 12 pack of beet chips for $16.99 at Martie, and Amazon listed a price of almost $55. I went to the Meraki website and the list price for hand cream was $14.99. Martie price is $2.49. The shipping is reasonably fast, and occasionally I have had a very slightly crushed bag of chips. A small thing, and I did eat the tasty crumbs at the bottom of the bag. I haven't had any problem with their prices. The discounts are real. I checked the prices on other websites. The only major problem I have is that I REALLY liked some of the items, and can't get them again. Update on April 12, 2024 I have received 12 shipments from Martie since Nov, 2023. Every single shipment was flawless. I received every item, and it was in good condition. The shipping from Texas to Wisconsin was similar to other companies. I will continue to order from Martie. It is a really good company.

I liked the concept of Martie when they first alpeared online and their prices were great. I've been supporting their cause amd business since they were small and located in California. My last order is what did me in and I no longer shop online on Martie.com I placed a fairly big order and like all the time's before I was excited to recieve my shippment. I had a busy day and didn't get home until 11pm the night of my Martie shippment. I wasn'to worried about my package being taken because I live in a rural mountain town and my neighbor's look after each other and our properties. As I got home and walked up to my porch there was my huge box from Martie. As I got closer I noticed the box was damaged, wet and one side was completely open. The inside was a mess. It looked as if a football team had used the box as a football. This damage wasn't do to any animals it was do to delivery throwing it around and not caring. I salvaged what I could and cleaned up the mess before I did have a vist from an animal. It was late and I was exhausted. I cleaned up and went to bed. The next day when I had time I sent an email to Martie.com explaining what had happened and even added a little humor while describing the condition of the box. I'm not the type to get upset and write a nasty mean e-mails. I described the item's damaged ( I was being considerate in doing so) and left a few damaged item's off the list that I was able to salvage either by utilizing the item that night or the next day. I actually felt bad about reporting the incident and loss in the first place. I believe I got an email back the next day. The email was your standard "ŵe're sorry about that" and what followed was " you need to send us some pictures of the damage. Well it was really late I was exhausted and didn't think about taking pictures. I just wanted to clean up the mess and go to bed. I was used to other online stores where I could report any damage and the item or item's were replaced. I was at a loss. I had no pictures to send. This was upsetting. I had never filed a complaint with Martie and was a good customer. At least I thought I was. I had to take my loss and accept it. With inflation and food prices going up this didn't sit well with me. I had to stop shopping online with Martie. I now shop online with stores that can take care of any damage or loss that occurs. I can't afford to recieve damged goods that are not edible and wont be replaced. I also learned the lesson of documenting said damage when it oçcurs by taking pictures. Taking the loss was to much.

I've been a shopper at Martie's for a while and remember when shopping with them has much, much better service. While it's fun to find new staple items every week at a discount, you get what you pay for, the service has gone way, way down hill as they've grown and changed distribution centers. I would say my weekly orders have been getting slower and slower. They miss items. They don't respond to emails and you can't call them either. The owners are snobs. The prices are going UP. Products arrive broken or I'm missing at least two or three items per order. Also, check expiration dates! I'm currently in a situation where I've been emailing them for days for products missing and I can't get an answer. Get it together Marties!

I just received my first order and I'm officially hooked! This app focuses on shelf stable goods. I try to buy mostly fresh produce at the store and look for sales on shelf stable products (nut butter, crackers). I often find products that I like but either I purchased the item from a non local store or the regular price doesn't fit into my budget if eaten in large quantities. Has someone who has lots of food allergies and prefers to buy sustainable, organic, vegan whenever possible, I love that I can find my favorite brands on Martie at prices that are equal to or less than the sale price at my local store. I make sure to look at the expiration date in the listing (a lot of the time the shelf life exceeds the best buy expiration date). If you aren't as picky as I am and you have a large family this app is definitely helpful for you since new items appear in the app all the time. You can get your commercial big brands and even those obscure lesser known brands. There's something for every dietary preference. If you are squeamish about the idea of buying something that might expire in month, then keep in mind that a lot of products are available that do not expire soon-- the products are on the site because they are seasonal (pumpkin spice, winter themed, Halloween themed) and these items had to be pulled from store shelves. I can load up my cart on goodies, save a trip to the grocery store (the best grocery store is an hour round trip and some specialty items are 3 hours round trip), and worry that I'll be completely out of food if I run out of fresh goods. This is exactly what the food sustainability market needs! Note my first order 14 items. I paid $55. Most of the products were at least 50% off and do not expire.

Good selection of items. Pretty fast to get orders out, however the shipping had issues. When I contacted the CS team they were responsive, but failed to follow up. I did not know they did not answer emails over the weekend. That's ok, just have an automated response to inform your customer. The CS agent eventually offered credit because the two boxes of 72 items costing almost $200 had not shown up, nor had the UPS tracking updated since the day they picked it up. That company is also not meeting their obligations to consumers, but that is going to have to be another review. The order finally arrived 4 days late. This is fine for some items, but not for food items. I can wait for anything else, but not what we are going to be using to build our meals around for the week. In addition to the inconvenience of being late, I had a product melt through the jar it was in. The mess was not too bad, since the jars are packed pretty well. They use a lot of brown paper for padding and protecting your food. That is a five star experience. I think companies who can send me so many items without using one bit of plastic BS are awesome. With improvement, this company can easily go from three to five stars. Give your customers a little love for dealing with a major inconvenience. It may not be a big deal for some people to wait for food, but I am autistic and caregiver to my dad, an 80 year old veteran. I don't think it's too much to ask them to cover the cost of the ghee and throw a little extra on top for the wait. A $25 credit for the trouble isn't likely to break their bank and it would make sure I'd be returning to their app for a future purchase. I really can't understand companies who are not interested in laying the foundations for loyal customers. It's pretty easy.
