Martie is a great way to order staples and/or try new and different items. I have found favorites and tried many new items that have now become favorites on Martie. The ordering process is convenient and their customer service is responsive.

Martie is (what I believe to be) the premier Grocery and Homegoods site for the price-conscious yet adventurous shopper. I'm always finding something new at the right price. Shipping is quick and mindful, especially of glass goods. A minimal package-protection plan is optional, and I always go with it. I did request a return once, and customer service was helpful without annoying me like others usually do.

I used to absolutely love ordering from Martie LLC, however, this year it has not been a very good experience. One order I received instead of giving me a box, they were just 12 protein bars scattered throughout the large box of items. Additionally, it seems that lately all of my orders are far later than they ever are advertised to be, as they State they will ship within one to two business days. However, the reality is that they ship possibly within a week. I have yet to receive an order that has been within an acceptable time frame. However, I decided to try a third time, just to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, this will be my last order with them until some other future date when hopefully they will get their logistics worked out, their staffing up to par, and or their client relations stepped up. They definitely need to adjust their FAQs and their shipping information on their mobile app and on the website as shipping within 2 days is definitely not how things go. They are very responsive with generic email replies, always stating that they are just so busy. They're trying so hard but they're just so overwhelmed and they just have so many orders, which doesn't do anything for me except making me feel diminished as a consumer because it may have been 5 to 8 days since my order was placed. If you have too many orders, you need more staff. It's so disappointing. At this juncture, even though I have referred to my friends and family to this company in the past, I will no longer be doing so as it is an embarrassment because items do not ship out as promised and in cases, such as my own, when I purchase things for a travel. To take to my parents home in another state, I am left with the disappointment of not being able to take the items that I purchased for them because I must keep my travel plans despite the order not being shipped as promised.

Martie has a lot of quality items you can't find in your local store, at great prices. I like that they save and make available to me higher end items that I wouldn't normally be able to afford due to their price, It is a win win win, I get items I would love to try and or buy and pay less, and help save the planet at the same time

Martie is what I have been looking for! I want high quality, sustainable products, but I also want to prevent waste. The service is great too…everything arrives intact and on time.

Shopping on Martie is a fun, treasure hunt kind of experience. You never quite know what you'll find, but we've discovered lots of interesting items. The one time a product was defective, Martie responded quickly to refund our money.

I requested a refund for cassava chips b/c I discovered that they carried a Cal. Prop. 65 warning against lead, which warning was not noted in the product listing so I was unaware of it when I placed my order. After seeing the warning stickers on the packages when I received the order, I researched the issue and found that Consumer Reports rated the product more than 600% above the safe level for lead, and recommended that the chips be eaten only 1 serving/week. When I emailed Martie about the issue, my request for a refund was initially politely referred to their claims dept. But the claims dept relied on a lie to reject my claim, stating that the Prop 65 warning was noted in the listing. It absolutely was not included in the listing and is still not included in the listing at the time of this initial review. The $28 or so that I am out is nothing, but I learned that this company is not trustworthy, which is an important lesson. ADDENDUM to review: Although Martie has now sent me a refund, that doesn't completely rectify the situation, which was that, when I initiated a refund claim about the Prop 65 lead issue, Martie's team misrepresented that their web-site indicated a Prop 65 lead warning with the product listing, which was absolutely not the case. I (and my husband, who double-checked the web-site product listing at the time that I initiated my refund claim) stand by my complaint about the lack of a Prop 65 lead warning, on the web-site listing at the time I placed the order and later, when I initiated the refund claim. Martie has sent me a polite email apology, but has denied their omission of an on-line Prop 65 warning. While I recognize that Martie's business model serves a good purpose in that Martie sells overstock goods that might otherwise be disposed of by grocers as surplus waste, I still believe that they should be very, very careful about foods that carry a Prop 65 warning. Only a few of the 8 bags of chips that I purchased carried a sticker with the Prop 65 warning. I am grateful that some of them did and I was able to research the lead issue and act accordingly. I have raised my rating from 1 star to 2 stars, based on the refund and apology they have sent.

Martie is amazing. The variety of items from food stuff, make up, shampoo, and supplements is incredible. The items available can be random and that is so much of the fun of it. And really importantly the discounts are so super. I highly recommend giving Martie a try. I have been ordering items for approximately five months and have been totally satisfied
