Had a separate flight rescheduled (not Malaysian Airlines). Spent a week trying to amend my booking. Spent an hour in the queue only for the call to drop, this was quite common to be on hold for 20/30/40 min and for the call to drop. When i got through i was told i couldn't amend my flight although i could online but the time I needed was not listed. I relayed this to the operative who told me to just rebook online. I literally spent 8 hours over the course of 5 days trying to amend my booking. In the end I opted to cancel my non-malasian airlines flight to fit my internal flight with malaysian airlines.
The customer service operatives need to be trained so they have the correct information. The long waits in the queue are just unacceptable. Imagine being on hold for an hour and you think you finally got through to someone and then the line goes dead, just unacceptable.

MALAYSIAN AIRLINES PERGI MAMPUS!
I'm still waiting for these THIEVES to refund my money after they cancelled the flight!! Malaysian Airlines use Covid-19, a KNOWN pandemic, to escape their legal obligations by first entering into a sales contract, then retroactively redefining the terms of the contract AFTER full payment has been made. Any company with the temerity to attempt such disingenuous behavior clearly has a scant regard for business ethics.
I purchased my ticket in August, 2021 in good faith. To be blunt, that was over a year after the WHO alerted the Aviation industry to Covid-19. Therefore, this flailing company had ample time to readjust their business model without resorting to outright theft of customers' monies. Financial fragility is not synonymous with corporate fraud, and as such, I am not willing to become a party to Malaysian Airlines' mercantile misfortune.
UPDATE - The SCUMBAGS are now claiming Covid-19 is a Force Majeure, which is a somewhat moot point considering that the current global pandemic was known to all parties PRIOR to entering into any aforementioned contracts of sale. In addition, a Force Majeure does not cover the malfeasance or negligence of a party, which has a materially adverse effect on the ability of such party to perform its legal obligations. The contractual concept of a Force Majeure in any stipulated situation is controlled by the law governing the contract, rather than Malaysian Airlines' general concepts of a Force Majeure applied retroactively AFTER collection of customers' payments.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation:
" In the following situations, passengers are entitled to a refund of the ticket price and/or associated fees. Cancelled Flight – A passenger is entitled to a refund if the airline cancelled a flight, regardless of the reason, and the passenger chooses not to travel. How quickly is an airline, travel agent, or online travel agency required to process a refund? If a passenger is owed a refund, an airline, travel agent, or online travel agency must process it within seven business days if the passenger paid by credit card, and 20 business days if the passenger paid by cash or check. "
AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!
THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LITTLE YELLOW LYING THIEVES!!!

Cancelled my flight
Cancelled my flight. Refused to give me a refund, despite the fact that they cancelled the flight. 18 months later still no refund, only an open ticket to a destination they no longer fly to. Offered a voucher but could only be used on their flight (but they don't fly to my home country), which invalidated my insurance.

I can't believe this airline…
I can't believe this airline I paid 1066 aud last year for a flight from Jakarta to Adelaide, this was cancelled by the airline, I then booked another flight Jakarta to Sydney, this too was cancelled by the airline. I was given a credit voucher, I am now trying to book a flight using this credit, the flight I am interested in is a lower price than my original flight but Malaysia airlines say I have to forfeit the balance.
It's unbelievable that this is allowed, it's surely theft.
Stay away from these thieves

Extremely poor service
We were due to fly on 18/03/2020. Due to COVID-19 being a British citizen we were not allowed to fly. We booked through BudgetAir. They are refusing to give me a refund, Malaysia airlines will not refund BudgetAir so they can’t refund me.I paid extra for insurance through there selves. One year on they have stated there going in to administration. So the only option I have is to rebook the same flight to Malaysia from Bangkok. I live in Staffordshire!! Do they not realise we are still in lockdown. Last year was going to be a special holiday which unfortunately I can not repeat, so this is not an option. My dream turned into a night mare as we were then stranded in Bangkok. I would like this matter closed with Malaysia airlines. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I await to hear from you Flight ref BUK - 13453218.

Personal data privacy breach at…
Personal data privacy breach at Malaysian Airlines. The personal data involved in the incident included Enrich member names, date of birth, gender, contact details, frequent flyer number, frequent flyer status and frequent flyer tier level. Really not acceptable.
